Hello dear crafters,
I am thrilled to be guest designing for Crafty Meraki!! Have you checked their website? You must and you can use the code ISHANI10 at Crafty Meraki website for 10% discount! I am using the adorable stamp set Holi Hai Stamp Set for a Holi card with this adorable boy playing the drums called 'Dhol' and the boy hence is called a 'Dholi'. During Holi, traditional songs are played and people play with colors on the streets. The Dhol is an instrument that can charge you up and can move along the Holi playing crowd. So I fell in love when I saw him on the stamp set.
For the Dholi, I stamped him with waterproof black ink and colored him with my Zig markers and fussy cut him. For the background on my white card panel I swiped the mini distress inks from above in rainbow with a pink colors and stamped happy Holi. I adhered Dholi with foam tape next to my sentiment and adhered the panel on a a landscape top folding black cardbase.
I totally see this Dholi on wedding cards or Baisakhi or Lohri festival cards. He is such quintessential part of Indian celebrations that you can make any celebratory card and add him for your Indian friends.
Happy crafting :)
I also have a new video with some cool techniques and using the Holi Hai stamp set.
