TO - Dancing Poppies

Hello everyone,

We have a new challenge at the Time out blog and it is a Photo Inspiration and it is a special photo, the handmade bag in the photo is the prize and it is sponsored by Running Stitch Design, a brand owned by our very own Kim Heggins - an old teammate at Time Out. You can also follow her work on Instagram.

I was drawn to the Poppies that seem to be floating or dancing and I had a perfect stamp set for it. For my card I have used Altenew's Build a Garden - Dancing Poppies that consists of one stamp that stamps all the flowers and set of stencils to color the flowers and one die that cuts the flowers - all together.

This Build a Garden - Dancing Poppies set is perfect if you want to make multiple cards. Just STAMP - STENCIL - DIECUT - 4 flowers in one go! I die cut a foam sheet to add behind my flowers to make them pop and added the gorgeous Rouge Opal gems by Crafty Meraki to bling up my card.

We have as our Guest for this challenge, the very talented Ashwini Rao of Experiments With Card Making Etc. I hope you like my take and would join us with your take on our photo inspiration :)

I have some ideas on my Channel for floral cards, if you'd like to watch.

Thank  you for stopping by :)

  1. What a beautiful result Ishani - the red against the dark background is stunning, and I love the fact your poppies are 'dancing', as the ones on the bag are.. a great use of the image.
