Inks You MUST Have This Black Friday
Altenew’s inks are iconic — crisp, vibrant, and made for effortless layered stamping, blending, and watercolor-like effects.
Here are the inks I reach for again and again:
If you love big size - please go ahead and get the Big round Inks.
I personally feel mini - are easier to store and do the job just as well as the round ones.
Perfect for beginners and pros! These coordinated sets make layered flowers absolutely flawless.
You may get all you want, but if you are new or a budget crafter, here are my suggestions.
If you are absolutely New to Altenew inks - Get Summer Sunrise and Ocean Dreams
if you have tried and loved the inks - next step is -

Altenew often discounts ink families during Black Friday.
❓Should you get reinkers? If you have had the inks for more than a year and you are using them often, YES, get the reinkers during the Sale. They make great alternative to watercolors too and I love to do some quick smooshing using the re-inkers.
If you are mixed media lover - Yes again.
If you are new to them, you can wait for the warehouse sales in the beginning of the year and get good deals then.
An essential for crisp black stamping — especially sentiments. If you haven’t tried it yet, Black Friday is THE time. And if Reinker is on Sale - get that too!!
If you dont have a white Pigment ink and have been wanting to try some cardmaking techniques that need the white ink - you need to get this one + Reinker.
Ink Blending EssentialsMini cubes + blending brushes = smooth, dreamy colour transitions.
Altenew’s blending brushes give smooth, streak-free colour. Many crafters upgrade to these because they’re soft, durable, and ergonomic. Game changer for me!! I am sure if you do use them - you've loved them too.
Tip: Watch for bundle pricing - it's most economic and gets you various brushes to use and try.You can have one brush for each color - but if starting keep one brush per family of inks.
Must haves and how I started -
I started with - THIS tool bundle which usually is more on sale that separate sets of brushes.
You can later add on to your collection with the brushes to feel you use the most - Micro Blending Brush Set (Flat Bristles). Small Blending Brush Set (Flat Bristles), Large Blending Brush (Flat Bristles), Mini Blending Brush Set (Flat Bristles), and Detailed Blending Brush Set (Angled Bristles).
I have later on added - Mini blending brushes set - flat bristles and Micro blending brush set - flat bristles
Papers That You Absolutely NeedYour inks and stamps shine only when the paper does.
Altenew’s paper line is clean, high-quality, and tailored for card makers.
A non-negotiable basic. Smooth, sturdy, perfect for:

Techniques like heat embossing
If you love florals (and who doesn’t?) — this is the paper that makes them pop.
Get 100% cotton cold pressed - if you are just starting your watercolor journey.
These are loved for die-cut layering because every shade coordinates beautifully.

Brushes, Tools & Crafting EssentialsTools are the backbone of a clean, professional finish — and they’re rarely discounted… except on Black Friday.
If you don't hav eany stamping tool and only have acrylic blocks to stamp with, it's a perfect time to get the Stampwheel - if you are tight on budget get Stampwheel and if you can spend a bit more get Stampwheel 2.0 - I am sure there will be discount on them!
It is Altenew's star tool. Perfect stamping every single time — especially for layered florals and making wreaths.
Scissors (with non-stick Teflon coating)
Adhesives ( Foam tape, Masking tape, Glue tape and liquid Glue )
Bone folder and tweezers - if you want.
These are Basics that make crafting easier and cleaner.
Tip: Tools sell out early. Add to cart before the sale begins so you’re ready to check out.---
Brushes and Coloring EssentialsNot everyone is a colorist and neither am I. But I like to try various techniques and have some basic recommendations for those who are new to Altenew -
Watercolors -
Artist watercolors 24 Pan set - They are Artist-grade colors, bright & highly transparen and the colors coordinate with the Altenew ink line too (it may look at a higher price point than others, but trust me.. it's the best you can get.
You can also try Watercolor Brush markers too.
If you have 24 Pan set - it has bright colors, you can add colors of Autumn Harvest to your collection.
I also love -Metallic watercolors -14 pan set - but it's not essential. But if you get it at great sale price- Get it.
You can get the Fine watercolor brushes and Artists watercolor round brushes along to enhance your coloring experience.
Alcohol Markers
If you love to color, you already have these - if not - let me suggest you the two sets that should do the trick for you, especially if you want to color florals.
Artist Markers - Set C - English Country Garden
Alcohol Markers - Set F - Sunshine valley garden
These two sets give Reds, Pinks, yellows, blues, greens.. all the essentials. So you can start with these 2.
Pssttt.. their reinkers (alcohol inks) can be awesome for Alcohol ink art too.

Stamps You Can’t MissIf Altenew is known for one thing, it’s floral stamps — elegant, layered, realistic.
Here are community favourites:
They have stencils and outlined stamp - which you can paint or color with alchohol markers too.
These sets come with stamp + die + stencils and embossing folders and are just awesome to craft with - giving multiple ways to use them.
The have some classic layering stamps that you need to HAVE in your stash.
Affordable, quick, and always adorable — perfect stocking stuffers too, also Combination of stamps and dies, which to me is very cool!
