Quilled Surf - blue with a splash!

Hello Crafty friends,

This weekend starts with completing the quilling I started last weekend. For this month, the  Indianquillingchallenge had the theme, Blue with a splash!



What splashes and is blue.. many things came in my mind. But I knew I'll make a scene and something that I can frame. So I planned to do a surf, splashing waves in blue. I decided to pull out my 5 mm strips. I don't use them much, but I love how the width and the shadows play and make the work more dimensional.

I started with the waves, then added mountains and the sun at the horizon. Then I finished the whole piece with some froth over the surf!


I would frame it and update the blog when I have it with me. For now few angles of my Surf splash for you!




I hope you liked it. I would love to know if you think I could have done it differently or something else would have looked better. A critical review will let me improve. I would love to know your views.
