Bokeh Cheers

Hello there,

Am glad you stopped by. I was thinking of what kind of card to make for New Year, as I don't have a new year stamp or numbers. Then I remembered my humble pencil eraser and the Emboss-it pen I could use and do some hand lettering too.

I used two embossing powders (Ranger's - Gold & Liquid Platinum), and distress oxide ink (vintage photo) to give the light, distant bokeh look. You have to be very careful with using powder tool for removing static (I have made my own using my baby's sock) and removing strays with a brush. This card am sharing, is the third attempt and finally without any stray powder. I used one powder once. I did golden first, heat embossed it, then did the champagne dots. Wherever I had empty space I used the distress oxide ink, overlapping it with the already embossed dots. With a wet ear bud I wiped the ink that was left over the embossed dots. A 'Cheers' stamp and little handlettering.. and tadaaa.. am so proud of it!

Hope you like it too!
