Inspired by - Loll Thompson

Hello dear crafters,

It's my birthday today and despite knowing that am getting old,it still excites me. And I have an exciting news for you too.

All of us get inspired in different ways, to me one of the ways is from the artists I follow. One of the great cardmaker, whose cards I have always admired and got inspiration from is Loll Thompson from Stamping with Loll . Being a lover of CAS, loving her work comes naturally. But what's special about her cards is "techniques'. So this will be series of CASEing her cards, to learn different techniques through her blog. (I remember when the first time I read the word CASE, I was wondering what it was, so here for those like me - Copy And Share Everything)

And what could be a better birthday present than Loll's permission for the same and she offering to join me for the first CASE. Can you believe my excitement.. I was yayying the whole day and beaming with joy. So, I have decided to CASE 10 of Loll's card, every monday, each with a different technique. Also, I wouldn't be buying anything new to CASE these and only use all that I have.

So here is the CASE 1

Isn't it a stunner?

This card is done with the rubber band technique. Here and here are the links you can refer from Loll's blog. Here's a video from Loll's you tube channel. One of the reasons I chose this card was because, CAS Mix up challenge has rubber band technique for the month of April. So, in case you are inspired, you could do a card and link it up to the challenge too.

This is Loll , CASEing her own card, for me 😍

Thank you for this honour Loll.

And this is what I came up with. Though I loved the turquoise of Loll's card, as I didn't have an embossing powder in that colour, I used the gold embossing powder. Also, the brayer was replaced with a cylindrical glue bottle 😜

Frankly, this technique was so much fun that I did few more gold embossing with this technique. This is another card that I did. Only difference being that I die cut from a gold card stock in this one.

Hope you like my attempts to CASE and learn. If you are inspired by these, do share your projects using #inspiredbyloll or letting Loll or me know that you tried it too. Happy crafting to all of you and Happy Birthday to me 😉

  11. What a great way to learn new techniques, Ishani, and Loll is just the person to teach them to you. CASEing her lovely cards will be a great learning experience and if the results are as wonderful as those you have shown us today you will soon have a large stash of fantastic cards. I can't wait to see what technique you choose next.
