Blue florals

Hello everyone,

When we were kids, we always used to put the new words we learnt in use. This card is similar to those days, this time as a student of card making. I had started with quilled cards, then I thought having stamps and dies makes a card better. But now I think it's not how many products you have but it's how you put your products to use. This is surely because of the confidence I have gained seeing all the lovely artists make card and learning from them.

After almost a week with no time for cardmaking I went through few of the challenege blogs I follow to get some ideas and inspiration and decided to make this card.

I used a scallop circle die and cut a scalloped window from the masking paper. Masking my card panel I blended the distress inks in the shades of blue . After it had dried I used Persian Elements from Mudra stamps and stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink and  heat set it using Wow clear gloss Embossing powder on it. OK.. I was really scared to die cut the sentiment from the blended panel, but I did and am happy!

  2. I so agree with you about products. I like to use the same ones and try out different designs. Your blending here is perfect and you were brave cutting the die from this but your bravery worked paid off, it looks great. As always, we love to see you at Time Out x

  3. I agree, Ishani ... I have a small-ish stash and still come up with lots of ways to use it ... it's part of the fun! Gorgeous blending ... I do love camouflaged sentiments ... even though there's an 'eek' moment when cutting them ... yours looks fabulous! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Anita :)
