Inspired by Loll - CASE 10 - Saturated watercoloring

Hello everyone,

This is my last card in the Inspired by Loll series and though it feels just yesterday that I mailed Loll for seeking her permission, am so glad to get the opportunity to learn from the best. And if you want to know how much I have learnt, the best evidence is the amount of wins and recognitions I have had in the last two months.. most of them CASEs of Loll. So I needn't say anything, just that she's the best and the kindest soul I have come across and I feel blessed to get her blessings!

One of the tutorials on this technique I had seen and felt  'oh so easy' that I wanted to give it a try. But I didn't have the required supplies till now. I just received Catherine Pooler inks along with reinkers by Ardyth Percy Robb, for winning a prize at her blog. Yay.. so now I had waterbased reinkers for the saturated watercolouring! I also loved the pearl look Loll gets by her faux mother of pearl look, but I couldn't try the exact technique as I did not have the supplies, she used.

So this card, is an amalgamation of two techniques and thought I didn't CASE a card, this is how a  Saturated watercolor card done by Loll looks.

What a beauty!!

My card is nothing to what she did, not even a little close, hope to get better
with this technique as I practice more.

nspired by Loll, Technique card, water colouring, die cut, Perfect pearls, CAS card, Quillish, Smile, Everyday cards, cards by Ishani, cards online, handmade cards online, simple handmade cards, hobby cardmaking

I used flirty fushia and party dress from Catherin Pooler reinkers and perfect pearls on the watercoloured panel. Some elegance with a lace trim, pearls and ofcourse a smile.. that adds beauty to even a card!!

Thank you all for being a patient reader of my "Inspired by Loll series" and also try these techniques. Loll 's guidance and your constant encouragement means a lot. Loll Thompson is my Guru, that's how I have always thought of this relation. Guru - shishya (teacher-student) parampara (tradition)
is very old and important to Indians,  Loll will always be my Guru.

Here's a story of the Great Guru Drona charya and the tribal boy Eklavya, for a Indian scripture story time- for those who would like to know more.  Not my story though, may be Guru Dronacharya could learn some empathy and love from Loll.

Thank YOU Loll...Thank you very much. I hope I get to meet you sometime soon, it'll be so wonderful. Don't be surprised if I touch your feet - that's how we take blessings of our Gurus.

Happy crafting everyone!
