Mandala - Thank you

Hello friends,

Now that I took release from Indian Air force, my coursemates thought that I could do them proud by making cards for their instructors. They are undergoing a course and were on a visit to my city, when I went to meet them and deliver the cards too.

I knew I have to do multi copies of this card, so I chose a design that would look pretty and also not take much amount of time. I made this card - each step in batches and hence could get them in the short time they wanted in.

die cut, distress inks, CAS card, Quillish, thank you cards, card for teachers, card for professors, cards by ishani, inkblending, rainbowcolorblending, rainbow colour card

I used vellum envelopes from the Indian craft store Letzcraft for it. This was the first time I did cards for someone and it was so stressful. I think I enjoy creating without the pressure!

I hope their instructors like it and you like these too. Well I learnt something from this -
it was stressful and I realised it's not my cup of tea! Crafting got stressful.. I never thought it could.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting.

  1. Beautiful coloring of your die cut image, Ishani. I love how you used black cardstock for your background. Really makes your colorful main image pop.
I totally agree...making commissioned cards are so stressful. I have done very few and much prefer to craft and then give away my cards. TFS your beauties and joining us at CAS Mix Up. Hugs..

  5. This is one gorgeous design Ishani. I'm sure the instructors would be impressed to receive one of these beautiful cards. Commissioned cards can be stressful ... especially the first couple of times. But the more you do, the easier it will get. I don't normally make commissioned cards. I like to design more for the fun of it and then will give small packages of my cards as gifts. xx

  6. It's definitely easier to create without the pressure of pleasing a client, Ishani! But I'm sure you made a lot of people happy with this card! The rainbow medallion is beautiful, especially against the black background! Love how the design shows through the vellum envelope! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Mix Up!

  7. What a gorgeous card Ishani - and yes, creating to order is always difficult, especially at short notice!! I do make cards for a friend, but I have her birthday list and can plan when and how I make them, but if I leave it too late, then it's not fun!
    Blessings

  10. Wonderful CAS card. So glad you joined our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I hope you'll join us again soon. I want to leave you with the inspiration of God's Word in 2 Peter 3:9 which says, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." Have a blessed week.
