I have to admit that I actually had a lot fun making this card. To stamp a pattern is such a cool way to make your stamp more versatile and get a way different look than what you would usually do. For my card, I used these adorable Little birdies stamp with equally cute sentiments to go with.
These tweeties spread so much happiness, they had to be in happy colours! So I chose few of my favorite colours for this card. I must not say that I cut these guys up, but you know what I mean when I say cut and used the top two birds for my pattern.
I stamped them with black ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder for the left panel. I coloured these in the girl and the boy colours. I used versamark on the pista green cardstock and again heat embossed it with a clear EP. A cute speech bubble from the boy to wish the birthday girl. And here you have the cutie tweeties wishing on a bird-day.
So, when I thought I would cut up this stamp, I was so nervous. I was a little hesitant, but I think this, gives it more ways to be used and also a different look. I hope you think so too.
Hop on to the blog for more inspiration by the very talented card makers. There are no genre restrictions for this challenge. Link up your clean and simple designs or layer it on, whatever is your forte - here, at the In-links. Michele has also generously offered up a $25 gift certificate to the overall winner at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. And also, if the chosen winner has used CAS-ual Fridays stamps and/or dies as the main focus in the card, that gift certificate will increase to $50. I hope you'll join us :D
