Wishing you all the strength

Hello everyone,

The one company that I feel is not just doing a business but also spreading smiles constantly, is  CAS-ual Fridays and I am so glad to be associated with them. The challenges at Calling all sistahs, help me create something that will bring smile to someone who needs special love and care. (I have written it because I felt a need to write this, please do not feel otherwise).

We all were shocked when we got to know that one of our very loved Indian actress, Sonali Bendre (I fell in love with her when I saw Sarfarosh, I must have been 15) has been diagnosed with metastatic cancer and I was thinking about her, when I made this. I am wishing her strength with this card.

I was inspired by the inspiration picture at Calling all Sistahs, to do the wreath. The four petal fri-dies flowers signify the ribbons of the inspiration picture.  I have been planning to make a card but only yesterday I saw a similar floral wreath card. And though I was not CASEing the artist, this card would have looked similar. So how do I make it different? I did a die cut circle at the edge, to place my flowers on the rim of the window and used the inside of the card to finish my sentiment. Another picture to show you the diecut front panel.

I hope you like it and also that Sonali Bendre gets well soon and comes home. She is under treatment in the US. Please do pray for her if you read this. I'll show you her lovely picture from her Instagram account. ( I wanted to send this to her and I messaged her on Instagram, am waiting for her to respond. She might be going through a tough time, my prayers will reach her, I am sure).

I saw this at Word art wednesday and had to finish this post with this.

  9. This is a beautiful design Ishani! I love how the wreath goes off the edge and that you've used soft shades of the rainbow for your flowers. To me the rainbow is a feeling of happiness and I hope that you are able to send this lovely card to Sonali as I am sure it would brighten her day. xx
