Missing Downton Abbey

Hello there,

Any Period drama fans here?? I am a big fan of those glamourous costumes, breathtaking scenery and impeccable manners...and of the romance and bravery and everything else. I have been a BIG fan of Downton Abbey... I have laughed, cried and grieved with them. And the challenge at AAA cards gave me an opporunity to bring back those memories. Now I didn't have much stuff I could put to use except this Downton Abbey - esque hat and a heart because of my love for it ;)

Altenew ladies day out, Zig clean colour brush pens, Quillish, Kaisercraft, CAS card, Diecut,

A little interest with the die cut heart and the sentiment to finish this clean and simple card.
And a good news for the fans like me, here.

I hope you like my card. Thank you for stopping by :) and happy crafting!

  1. What a lovely card, Ishani - a gorgeous tribute to Downton Abbey and beautifully CAS!

When I saw your card in the gallery, I read the 'fabulous' and wondered if you'd chosen 'Absolutely Fabulous' which was a comedy here in the UK that is totally different from Downton Abbey!!! Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards!

  6. Downton is a favorite of mine, also. I have been watching the re-runs on PBS and still cry and fuss over what I have cried and fussed about before. Lovely card and definitely a Downton design.

  7. Love this card, Ishani. Also a huge fan of Downton Abbey and this summer we took a tour of London and Paris (our first ever overseas trip) and my husband and I flew over three days early to visit Highclere Castle on a day trip. No way was I going to go that far and not visit there! I could just picture Robert walking towards the "house" with one of the yellow labs in the opening scene as we got off the bus. Everyone on the bus was able to hum the theme!

    1. Omg.. I definitely have that tour in my itinerary too. Though I don't have tickets to visit UK. So kind of you to stop by , Thank you so much. I want to imagine Robert on the green grass walking too. You just got me that music in my head now. I believe the kitchen wasn't the part of the castle, it was shot somewhere else. Is that true??
