Hello everyone,
I have been missing crafting but I made sure to check the challenges going on, so that I can craft as soon as I am back home. One of the challenges I wanted to play at was this Gift ensemble challenge at Neat and Tangled. And luckily I made it in time!
Their illustrations are the cutest! And I have had an opportunity to lay my hands on few of their cutest stamp sets. I have used three of them for my Gift ensemble.
First, is the gift bag I made watching an Origami tutorial to make bags. (I realised how important is a scoring board to make such gift bags. I have to buy it before I plan to enter a challenge again.) I made the gift bag with an A4 size paper and stamped the hearts in coral red. I colored and fussy cut the cutest Koala ever- from the Koalifications stamp set and attached it on the gift bag.
We in India have a tradition of giving money to the those who are younger than us. I thought of making a Gift money envelope for my next project and these bears from the Mommy Daddy and me stamp set are just perfect for a money envelope that can be given to a young kid. I used the sentiment from the Better together stamp set.
For the next gift, I made a gift wrapper by stamping Hello from the Better together stamp set, in grey ink on a grey sheet of paper, to wrap the box. The girl with the owl is also from the same set. A beautiful bow clip in the box had to have this cutie with a gorgeous clip herself.
Such projects have always intimidated me and this is the first time I decided, I have to play. I learnt a lot by playing along - to make a gift bag, how to tie a better bow on gifts and more importantly how to stretch my stash for other purposes, like making a gift wrapper itself!
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you like my attempt. Happy crafting!
