I am back again with a guest designing post for Stamplorations , where we are showcasing the amazing Digital stamps. Have you tried Heat Embossing with Digital stamps? Today, for both my cards I did heat embossing, one with clear embossing powder and the other with a gold embossing powder.
For today's project I have used two different Digi stamps from two different bundles - Coffee Blossom digital stamp - set of 9 and Blossom frames digital stamps - set of 6 and used two different mediums of coloring. I looove florals and roses are a weakness, so I chose these digi stamps for my first project.
For the first card I used Coffee Blossom digital stamp and chose the coffee cup with floral spray. I printed it out on Bristol smooth paper and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, as I wanted to color it with my Zig brush markers. I then fussy cut it, used a black marker for the edges and placed it on a black cardstock to be used as a layer on my white A2 side folding cardbase For the sentiment I used grateful from Thankful & blessed stamp set and heat embossed it in white.
For my second project I made a small Thank you note card with the Blossom frames digital stamps - set of 6 that I printed on the black cardstock and embossed with a gold embossing powder. The sentiment, thank you is from the Frames and floral stamp set.
So, could you guess how did I do it? the heat embossing? May be few of you know it already. But I'll take this opportunity to thank Maxine from Kiwime's kreations for sharing this amazing idea. I had once asked her, how did she do heat embossing for a sentiment and this is what she told me. 'As soon as your digital stamp is printed, without wasting a second, pour the embossing powder on it. And heat it to reveal the magic!' Thank you Maxine, I know you'll surely stop by at my post to read it. Thank you from all of us who have learnt this amazing technique because you shared it.
I hope you like my take on the digis. Also, there is a blog hop at STAMPlorations - Please leave a comment here and on the other Guest designers blog to get a chance to win $15 Gift code to the store (also can be used to buy digital stamps).
I am glad I found that out!!! It turned out AMAZING to emboss right out of the printer!!! I will remember that!!! And I will have to remember that sometimes, you can have the (main image) cup be white, it is such a wonderful balance the white and blue with the black background. GORGEOUS!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth projects are delightful, I have also embossed from the printer, gives so many choices
