DT post for CrafTangles - People of India

Hello friends,

I am super excited for my first post as Design team member at Craftangles. Today I am sharing with you three cards with the adorable stamps from two stamp sets, People of India and World's best stamp sets on the HNDMD blog.

    

I have stretched these stamps and given them a different look in one of the cards.

Here is what I have shared 

My first card is with all the six people from these two stamps and by combining two sentiments from the stamp set From all of us . This set has amazing sentiments, in my opinion, it's one set we all must have in our stash and the fonts work perfectly for any kind of card.

For this card, I used the recently launched 100 % cotton, 300 gsm, rough handmade watercolor paper and stamped my images using a stamping platform (the texture on the paper prevents a great stamping without a second impression) and the Craftangles stamping masking sheets and coloured them with Zig clean color brush markers in a rainbow order . I adhered my panel on the black cardstock by Craftangles ( I love the 250 gsm Cardstocks that Craftangles have, for my cards. They are so sturdy and  great to try pencil coloring too).

I stamped the two sentiments in a row..and taddaa.. Isn't it a perfect card for retirement? Quite a possible gathering in an Indian retirement party, don't you think?

My second card is with the Muchaad Tau ( Uncle with Moustache in Hindi) from World's best stamp set and he's up on a Clean and simple card to tell how proud he is of his nephew. 

I coloured my uncle with Copic markers and tried the new Craftangles dual textured white cardstock for this card. I love the whiteness of it and used the plain side for my front die cut window and the rough side for blending inks. I used Distress oxides in Squeezed lemonade and Mermaid lagoon for the blending. I fussy cut the turban's lower end to come out of the window for the added interest. I used a sentiment from the stamp set From all of us on a black die cut speech bubble and heat embossed it with White embossing powder after treating my black cardstock with Anti static pouch.

My third card is a special one and I hope you like it too, because I have stretched the same stamps and tried to give them a different look. I used the first two - the lady and the gentleman from People of India stamp set and with some masking and free hand drawing I made my Anniversary couple. 

I  made it a trifold card, with the top fold as a window to pop up the images that are adhered on the middle fold and the last fold for writing personal message. Other than masking, I also used stencils for creating the shirt and the saree for the images and paper pieced it on my images. I used the  Craftangle's Happy day stamp set for the sentiment.

I'll just go through how I made my couple. For the lady, I masked her hair bun,  blinking eye and the nose ring and inked the image, then before stamping it on the paper I removed my masks. Also, after I coloured her with Copic markers , I made a bun quite low on her nape and also made a nose and a similar open eye. I used a dark pink paper and sponged some red ink through Craftangles Geometric flowers stencil and stamped the saree part on it, fussy cut it and adhered on the lady. 

For the gentleman, I similarly masked his cap and hand drew his hair and made him a linen shirt ;)  Linen because for his shirt I took a mint color paper and used Craftangles Linen stencil to ink in Cracked pistachio Distress oxide. 

I hope you like my projects. I don't think similar stamps have yet come up anywhere else and they have this nostalgic feel to them! Don't they take you back to your childhood? I really enjoyed playing with these. They are so Indian, like common people around us.
