AAA - Soldier's birthday - Craftyscrappers

Hello everyone,

a very Happy New year to all of you! There is a new game up at AAA Cards and we have a sketch for you to play with and an Optional twist of Winter Birthday. Also, It's Jane's Birthday today! Let's wish her a very Happy Birthday and a very happy, healthy and fulfilling year ahead.

Our challenge this fortnight is sponsored by Craftyscrappers and I am so thrilled to share this card with you today, as it's very close to my heart.

I have adored their stamps and I remember when last year I had a conversation with the owner of Craftyscrappers, Konica and I expressed how we don't have any stamps for the soldiers. Being a third generation soldier myself, you can guess how many cards I can make with such stamps! She was such a sweetheart, she released amazing designs featuring Army, Air force, Navy and Police force. You must check out that collection, I'll link it here.

I am using my new, Our brave brothers - Army , because my brave brother is in the Army 😎 for my card. And gave in a great amount of time to get the shine on my boots right!! I used to obsess about my shoes shine :D There were tricks to get that leather shine, put it in the hot sun with lot of wax then get your arm sore rubbing it off or use the soot from a candle.. ufff.. those Cadet days, when we just started wearing the uniform.. what pride we took just in our Boots shining :D

AAA Cards, Birthday card, Copic markers, Craftyscrappers, masculine birthday card, Quillish, stenciling, Craftyscrappers our brave brothers - Army, card for a soldier, Soldier's birthday, Card for Army man

I used Copic markers for the boots and Waves stencil by CrafTangles for the background, to depict the sand dunes of our Western frontiers. The boot prints are so cool, aren't they?

  8. A wonderful card Ishani - thanks for sharing with us at CAS Stencil. (Seeing those boots brought back memories of 'spit and polish' days with lots of making little circles for super shine and knife like creases in uniform jackets and trousers!)
