Indian Festival crafts - Video Tutorial

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing a video tutorial with 3 Papercraft ideas for various Indian festivals keeping in view the upcoming Festive season, starting with Rakshabandhan! In today’s tutorial, you will see how we can combine stencils with various mediums and make our cards and envelopes more interesting. For list of supplies you can check the description box in the You Tube tutorial.

You can watch my take on Indian Festival cards start to end video tutorial here -

Ganesha stencil card

I have used a Ganesha from the Small Ganesha stencil and used Craftangles water colors in Pumpkin Orange and Soulmate for the background. I created the shimmer on my black card base made from Midnightblack cardstock with Shooting star liquid watercolor.

Rakshabandhan card with Rakhi

For sisters who send the rakhis to their brothers, here's a beautiful way to incorporate rakhi on your cards. I used Happy Rakshabandhan stamp set for the sweet brother sister duo nd colored with copics. I stenciled on one side for creating a base for my Rakhi.

Shagun envelope / Money Envelope

Here is an idea for gifting money in a beautiful envelope, that would work for any occassion! Using Om as my focal point and stenciling on envelope, I created a quick and festive envelope that can be made in multiples too!
