Cute Cactus cards - CrafTangles

Hello everyone,

Can you believe it's August already? I have some cute cards inspiration for your today for HNDMD blog (please visit to find all the products used). It may be raining in your part of the world but here it is very humid with a little shower once in few days. For the challenge, Seasons, I was inspired to use this adorable stamp set called I am stuck on you for spring theme cards and made Cute cards. Cacti flower in spring and for edible varieties, their fruit is harvested (by locals) in summer for edible purposes. And with the green on my cards, you may be reminded of the Rainy season too! Do check out our monthly challenge this month which is Seasons / Weather.

Repetitive Stamping

For my first card I took one of the smaller stamp from the I am stuck on you set and stamped with Copic friendly ink and colored them with Copics and added some shading with pencil colors and stamped my sentiment and colored in it too! For finishing off the card I added grey dots with a grey color pen and mounted it out Caramel brown cardstock card panel.

Sharing one of my favourite style, CAS, which is clean and simple card with one of the cactus that I stamped and colored Zig markers and fussy cut to mount over a panel that was sponged with Squeezed lemonade Distress oxide ink with blender brushes. I stamped the sentiment and added Gem drops for some more interest.

Off the edge stamping

My third card is showcasing a technique called off the edge stamping. It is a great way to stretch your stamps for a different look. I am using Montval Watercolour paper - Cold pressed and I stamped the bold love from Love you loads stamp and 2 cacti from the Stamp set - I am stuck on you in waterproof ink and colored with my Zig markers. And that's it! I stuck with glue on a top folding Caramel brown cardstock card panel and here's a card that can be given as a reminder :)

Hope you like my variations with one stamp to get different looks and are inspired to try doing the same with your stamps! These ideas can be used for any kind of stamp. Also, don't forget to join us at our monthly challenge.

I have a similar card tutorial, hope you will stop by at my You tube channel!
