Hello dear friends,
Don't be surpised! It is me! Have you played at the ongoing challenge up at Time Out challenges , where we challenge you to be Different? Spring is here - time to get hands dirty! We are very thankful to our sponsors Funky Fossil
for sponsoring this challenge. The winner of the challenge will get £15 gift coupon (British Sterling) to their store.
I have used their Plant a garden stamp set and I loved being different and trying something different! I have been loving cards by dear friend Kulbir and finally had an opportunity to try mixed media on my card! I had no clue what goes first and what second. I observed her cards and worked out the techniques. I must admit that I was surprised to see that you just can't do anything on MM panel. I realised there is method to this madness too.
I loved mixing texture paste with colors, just stamping the bg, without stamping platform for precision stamping, it was like you going to a finest Patisserie and are told you eat all you can! You are a clean eater, you like to feel light after clean meals. But when someone said you could have all those pastries and cakes you want - you sit and don't know where to stop :D
So I had a tummy full of Mixed media on this card and still was very happy and thought I will not faint with sugar overdose :P because it looked lovely - mixed but still a little clean.
We have the very talented Lisa , as our guest this time. Don't forget to stop by at her blog to see the beautiful card she has for this challenge and join us with your take!
I also did these paper boxes on St Patrick's day theme - without cool supplies.

Try it on Tuesday - 2 stencils
It worked out wonders-the texture is fab and I love you used 2 different patterns. The images placed perfectly and the torn edge is the perfect finish, so different for you but so fab to see x
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job with the mixed media beauty. It scares me, and I have been trying to push myself more toward it. I love all of the elements here, and I always love anything garden. Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteLovely Ishani! And I bet it was fun too. The best part of MM is not having to worry about ink smudges ;)
