Altenew Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello everyone,

Welcome to the last stop of the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Wild Rose Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ! You should be arriving here from the very talented Rosie Neustaedter 's blog, but if not, you can go back to the Altenew Card Blog and start from there.

I have been containing my excitement since a long time 😄 I was pinching myself when I was invited to be a Guest for Altenew's September release!! It's 1st September and I am so grateful for this opportunity to share my work with you all!

Today I have 2 projects projects with the beautiful new stamp - Build - a -flower - Wild Rose layering stamp and dies

Red Wild Rose Card

I have been a big fan of layering stamps and used Build-a-flower Wild Rose layering stamp and dies and on Classic Crest solar white cardstock, I stamped the flower with Red Cosmos Mini ink set and leaves with Green valley mini inks and colored bunch of flowers with Copics. I used Summer afternoon mini inks for the center of the flower. When I die cut my flowers and leaves and planned to arrange them on a dark red cardbase, I really didn't like the white diecut area visible outside the flower so I took a Copic marker similar to my cardbase and colored the edges, so as to camouflage and blend my flower to the red cardbase. What do you think? Do you like it like this or with white edges?

I used Burlap texture die to give a background to my Wild Rose and finished off with the sentiment on a white card cardstock and some accents with Nuvo drops.

CAS Wild Rose card

For my Second card I decided to skip the outer most layer of Build-a-flower Wild Rose layering stamp for a watercolored look and make it essentially a One layer card. First I made a mask for the flower and cut it out. I love to way the inks of layering stamps look on Classic Crest solar white cardstock, when stamped. I chose the Sea shore mini inks  for my layered flower before I stamped the leaves I adhered the mask and then used Green valley mini inks to stamp the leaves. For the center of the flower I used Summer afternoon mini inks

  22. Two gorgeous cards by you. And in two very different styles. I love how you've layered your die-cut flower over the burlap. I admire thr way you use coloured cardstock to its full effect, Ishani. And colouring white edges with copic was a great step. The second card is beautiful in it's simplicity. Love that colour. Congratulations once again for the GD post and I know there would be many more such opportunities ahead for you.
