Altenew Paint-A-Flower: African Daisy Outline Stamp Set Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($200 in Total Prizes)

Hello everyone and Welcome!

I am Ishani and I am so honoured and happy to be a Guest at this gorgeous Paint-A-Flower: African Daisy Release blog hopYou should be arriving here from the very talented Colleen Balija 's blog, but if not, you can go back to the Altenew Card Blog and start from there. After me your next stop is Nenette S. Madero.

I love these flowers and so I couldn't stop just with one card so today I have 2 projects projects with the beautiful new stamp - Paint - a -flower - African Daisy. One of the first flower names that I learnt along with Mesembryanthemum was OSTEOSPERMUM.. and do you know that African Daisies are called that? I am in India and we don't have a very harsh winter but have an early spring and Osteospermums are one of the flowers growing everywhere along with Poppies and Petunias.
I will try to sound cool and intelligent by calling them Osteospermums :D In nature they come in various colors and if you have seen my video with Dendrobium Orchids you'd know how I find inspiration to color.

For my first card I chose to water color my beautiful Osteospermums! Are you crazy for fonts? I am in love with the fonts of the Paint a flower series of stamps. They are so classy and combined with block letters, they give the handlettered feel!

My second card has my favourite color of Osteospermum - WHITE and combines Watercolors and alcohol inks. I have taken botanical illustrations inspired watercolors class by Jaycee Gasper and in his lessons, he had colored white flowers and had told to get color out of the flower to create contrast. I was a little scared for darker colors so I smooshed some blues for a Sky look for my White African daisies and used some grey markers for my white flowers shadows. I fussy cut only 3 of the flowers and foam mounted them for added interest!
