I am so honoured to be a part of one of my favourite things by Altenew - Stand Alone dies and this one is a mighty one! It includes so many types of dies it's going to be hard to choose just one favorite from them! I LOOOVED THEM ALL! I just could not stop making cards with them and I have plenty of examples for you to be inspired from.
For my first card I used just one leaf from the Flowing foliage and die cut and used various inks to inkblend the segments and after I adhered the white skeleton of the leaf, I got the segments adhered too. For the hello, I used hello from the Craft - a- flower Primrose layering die set and diecut it in the same dark brown as my cardstock.
Be kind Mini slimline card
The flowers and leaves from the Flowing foliage are so pretty, how could I not make one with the flowers? I wanted to use the beautiful Be kind die set and wanted a pleasing color palette, so I went for Teal and white. I die cut the flowers and leaves from the white cardstock. Then I die cut 'be kind' from a lighter cardstock than the background and for the shadow I use white cardstock similar to my mini slimline base. and to finish off, some pretty pearls.
MASCULINE CARDS MADE EASY
I usually struggle with masculine cards BUT these new dies will make our lives easy!
I used Simple shapes cover die to cut out the shapes from a white cardstock and colored the similar triangles in similar colors. If you look closely you see the pattern in triangles and it was easy to choose wgich color goes where and out that back in the skeletal die cut frame too. I chose Rick collection to color my triangles andblack crisp ink. Then I adhered the pieces back in their frame and chose two shades of teal for die cutting Way to go and mounted it on foam tape over the geometric background.
I am from a family of Soldiers and been one myself! So when I saw the calming reflections it reminded me of my Camouflage uniform! I don't know if you can see it but the irregular patterns like these made me think of my uniform.
I added some more yellows and browns and used the cool mighty alphabet dies to make my custom sentiment! I can give this card to my Dad, my Husband or my brother :D So many contenders.
The Pop up Dahlia die is so pretty and unique! My CAS heart loved how it would just add a little texture to a card and everthing else could be simple. As I was thinking of the sentiment I thought the stem looks like an I itself, So I just added H from the Mighty Alphabet dies set. Underneath the flower I have used cardstocks and sponged a little ink on the popped up petals of the Dahlia and the leaves
My last card is a delicate Iris card with this pretty die set - Rose Queen. I diecut the Iris from a dark brown cardstock and white cardstock and sponged pinks and greens and then pieced them back to their place in the brown die cut flower. For the sentiment from the September's release African Daisy stamp set.
