Hello crafty friends,
We have an INSIRED BY PHOTO challenge at Time out challenges and we challenge you to be Inspired by the photo below.
We are generously sponsored by Lawn Fawn with a $25 Store Credit a for the winner, and an offer to Guest Design with The Time Out Design Team for a future challenge.
It's my favourite challenge.. the Photo inspiration challenge. I love to pick out elements and it makes my life so easy, when making a card! Did you spot the Swan.. ?? the Gold Swan! I was drooling over the entire photo and knew that I had to ink the up the new Swan stamp set I had got from Altenew - Modern Swans. They were inked earlier but the card didn't see the light of the day. But today was a good day to ink it up! The Pink and Polka dot washi are inspired by the photo as well.
A pair of Swans are perfect for Wedding wishes as well as Anniversaries and with the Wedding season soon approaching in India (we have specific months as per Hindu Calendar that are referred to when the wedding date is decided), I think it may come handy to have a Happy Wedding card.
I stamped the Swans with Limestone ink from the Rock collection mini cube set - this set of grey inks are my go to, for many cards. If you have been planning to but greys, this set is fantastic. I added washi tape at the bottom and die cut a frame out of the pink cardstock, stamped Happy wedding in white embossing powder and mounted my Swans on 3- D tape.
I hope you like my take on the photo! We have, the very talented Heather Heroldt of Handmade by Heather as our Guest Designer for this challenge. Hop on to her blog to see her beautiful take on this photo.
Check out a video where I have some cards to inspire you for this challenge and hope to see you join us at the challenge.
Sending crafty hugs

Lovely Ishani! I love the grey inked swans against the pink and the spotted gold washi tape is an inspired way of grounding them! Hugs Kate!
