To - Autumn leaves Thanks - Poppystamps

Hello dear friends,

We have a new Theme challenge at Time out challenges and we challenge you to be - Inspired by words

“When we focus on our gratitude, the tide of disappointment goes out and the tide of love rushes in.”
 ~ Kristin Armstrong

We are Sponsored by the generous Poppy Stamps and the winner of this challenge will get a Prize of $20 Store Credit.

I planned to make a thank you card with the beautiful dies by our Sponsor Poppy Stamps - called Orchard leaves and Outline Thanks die - both are sadly, retired. For my card I went for a look I love - Background with tone on tone texture - which looks like 3-D dry embossing. I die cut Poppy Stamps Orchard leaves with Beige cardstock and adhered on the same color cardbase. I take watercolor cardstock and use Brush pens - with spritz of water for some ink smooshing.

I use the watercolored cardstock to cut out some more leaves and letters from Outline Thanks die and the shadow of this word die with Black cardstock.

I hope you like my take on the words! We have, the very talented Deb Horst, Sendable Sentiments as our Guest Designer for this challenge. Hop on to her blog to see her beautiful take on this photo.

Check out a video where I have similar technique for my projects and hope to see you join us at the challenge.

  1. Love this Ishani - so much texture without the card looking cluttered. Great work, using the sponsors product that you already have.

  8. I love all the texture from the same color die cut leaves in the background, Ishani, and then you colored some to go with that bright and beautiful sentiment. It flows together beautifully.
