Hello there,
I am happy you stopped by and hope you are enjoying the holidays! Although we don't celebrate Christmas, the winters in North India are a great time for outdoorsy activities and when it is too cold, we go to warmer places, like the US citizens go to Florida, most of the South India is Florida equivalent for us - Sun and sand and we have our own Hawaii too - it's called Andaman and Nicobar islands. Why am I telling you all this, because I am very excited for our next vacation which are the islands of Andaman and Nicobar and this card looks like a sunset over the ocean.
My homework today is for Sara Naumann's Irresistible inking techniques and I was inspired by the inking techniques in Lesson 4, I was planning to use my brayer but you know how the craft tools have this magical powers of disappearing? and why not.. this is the most Magical time of the year :P So I chose to make a background with Swiping my mini ink cubes and also this new stamp that I got - Build a flower - Giant Bell flower layering stamp had this lovely tutorial by Therese Calvird ( one of the reasons I was drawn to Bell flowers) where she made a silhouette card. I am not able to find that video, but it is there either on her channel or Altenew's. Wait I found it... here.
I was inspired by Ultimate Inspiration Challenge year review 2023's - Svitlana Shayevich's photo and chose Warm and cozy dye ink cubes and the three darker shades I swiped on a yellow cardstock for a gradient, ombre effect. Then with Obsidian Black ink I created a Silhouette image. The sentiment is from The Rose Tea stamp set.
I hope you like my homework.
