AECP - Seasonal Scene Building - Swan Love

Hi again dear friends,

Sunset Ink blending, Seasonal scene buiding, Silhouette Sun set scene card, Altenew AECP Modern Swans stamp set, Ishani, Quillish

You may be surprised by the number of posts - coming every day! I don't want to jinx the mojo and so I will keep quiet.. and show you all the fun I have had learning and doing my homework for AECP. Today is my last submission!

I really enjoyed all the lessons by Nichol Spohr in the Seasonal Scene building class and every lesson I watched, I wanted to do a homework on that. And by the time I reached Lesson 6 - I had another new idea for the card and was very excited to put my plan in action. Also using my latest holiday to Islands in the Indian Ocean and all the Sunrise and Sunsets I saw - to be the inspiration for this card.

For my Scene buiding homework, I started with some bicep building exercises as I did some ink blending for a sunset scene. I used masks for Sun and horizon and used some Dye inks and some Distress Oxide inks for a dreamy Sky and extended reflections of the similar colors on the Water. Let me know if you would like to see a Video tutorial of this card - for  showing you how I did it and the lessons learnt along the way.

After the Biceps were flexing like Popeye, I thought of adding more texture for water and now that I had planned to use the beautiful Modern Swans Stamp set  I had the water in the stamp set, that I couldn't decide if I would stamp with Versamark or just water and then decided to go with latter.

Then it was time to stamp my Swans.. phew... sweaty palms.. I was scared of stamping crooked or bad and spoiling all my hardwork of building muscles. So with extra caution  I stamped with the help of stamping platform with Obsidian black ink and then clear heat embossed the images. But these swans had areas that were exposed and showed the water behind them, So I took a grey marker and filled those areas up. I really loved how the water being dark blue/indigo just ahead of the swans looked as if they were shadows of those two in the water.

A  little tip from the Class that I carried along was white and black pen usage and I did use them for the swans. I am in LOve  with this card - I hope you like it too :) Thank you for stopping by!
