Hello friends,
I was part of Samantha Pfirmmer's class for her final challenge at AECP and I really learned quite a lot during her class on Paper piecing. The stamps and dies she was using - I didn't have them so I used the ones that in my opinion will give similar result.
Before the class started - we could choose the pattern paper etc that we wished to utilize for our cards and as I was going through my AECP 2 classes and had just finished watching the lessons by Therese Calvird on With a Twist - I chose elements that I learnt from her Cut it Oddly lesson 4 and lesson 5 Modern with Vintage and went ahead incorporating the technique taught by Samantha.
I had been hoarding this antique/vintage look designer papers since 2018 and I thought they will be perfect to get a touch of vintage with paper piecing the Scroll design paper in similar color that of the petals on the modern looking flowers from the Hello beautiful CYL kit. I did partial diecutting with the matching dies and used a dark brown Baroque print paper in the inside layer of the card.
I finished off the card with a gold diecut hello and Gold sequins to add to the vintage!
I hope you like it :)
