TO - I love you card

 Hiii friends,

We have a new Challenge up at Time Out challenges and it is a theme challenge, where we are celebrating World Alphabet Day and want you to be inspired by the Magnetic alphabets.

The challenge theme is:

Our wonderful sponsor is AltenewThey're generously offering a $15 gift card to our winner, chosen by our DT!

The inspiration for my card came from the days we had alphabets on the fridge and I had a similar crossword deisgn done with my son's picture to replace O. I have noticed, lately my Time out posts are around my son, including this! But that's what Alphabets take me to. My son's toddler years and when we both had great time in the kitchen with me challenging him with words and he recently had learnt phonics - and would make the word, I would give, on the Fridge.

I chose my very loved and versatile Bold Alphabet dies by Altenew and after cutting them with colorful paper, dry embossed them with a retired embossing folder by Altenew - Connected (retired). For the background I heat embossed with clear embossing powder with a wood grain stamp from a lovely brand Winnie & Walter that retired some years back.

We have, the very talented  Carol McFarland of Saw it. Had to Make it. as our Guest Designer for this challenge. Hop on to her blog to see her beautiful take on this challenge.

I have a Quick Video on my You tube channel with some Alphabet die techniques you could try!
Hope you will like them.

  3. Your card looks just like a black refrigerator door and of course it wouldn't be complete without alphabet magnets and a child's photo! Great idea!

  6. Alphabet magnets were a great teaching tool and I'm glad you had fun using them with your son, Ishani, and that you replicated the design with his picture for the challenge. That embossing looks fantastic on the letters. At first glance I thought they were from checked paper.
