Hello friends!
My last card for AECP Level 2 is for the Class of Magical marker techniques. For my assignment I have incorporated what I learnt from Lesson 2 where the instructor inspires us to use different mediums and lesson 3 where she does splattering on white cardstock.
I used the gorgeous Craft-a-flower - Water Lilly layering dies Craft-a-flower - Water Lilly layering dies . I started with alcohol ink and iso-propyl alcohol on Alcohol ink paper and Acetate. If you look closely you will see acetate in few of the petals. I used Island Garden marker set Island Garden marker set reds - Vineyard Berry, Coral Bliss and Pink Pearl with iso propyl alcohol on alcohol ink paper and acetate and then cut it out with the layering dies.
For the background, I used the stippling technique she taught in lesson 3 on white cardstock. I was very happy with the results - as it looked so organic! I chose to die cut my panel with the frame from Mix and Match frame dies Mix and Match frame dies, also because there was a bit warping because of putting iso propyl alcohol. I added leaf and adhered the lower petals with foam tape and upper with glue - for a little dimension on my flower. I chose not to out a sentiment, because although it says water lily, I think it is quite close to lotus and this Card will fit in for so many occasions, because for Indians, it's our National flower and very pious for all religious purposes and also, as congratulations for any event, including birthdays!
So, with this beautiful Lotus card - I finish all my assignments for AECP too :)
