Hello everyone,
Welcome back to my next assignment for Level 3 of Altenew's Educators Certification Programme and today I am sharing with you my new found love - after Erum's Playing with Textures, I continued playing with textures after All About Layering 7's Stencil Edition, Jaycee's Terrific Textures - Impressionist Bouquet.
I loved his play with textures, but most of it was also getting acquainted to Impressionism and his idea to use the layering stencils with the gorgeous background. The parallels of his card of water lilies of Claude Monet - made me venture to 19th century and observe more of how can I incorporate my stencils without pattern paper as background.
I took a light blue cardstock and used layering stencils from Hello Beautiful Craft Your life kit and used a Snow paste (that had not dried yet) with Gouache for stenciling the flowers and leaves. For the background, I applied gouache with a sponge, going from dark to light.
Jaycee in his class uses, Foiling for the pollens and I thought I'd add some bling too! Do you see the bling?💫 I showed this to my mom and she really liked it, I hope you like it too :D
