TO - Indian Festive Card

  Hello dear friends,

We have a new challenge up for you at Time Out Challenge - where we challenge you to create a card inspired by this quote -

"There is truly not an occasion that is not improved by wearing something festive."

We are generously sponsored by  Top Flight Stamps  with a $25.00 store credit for our challenge winner.

I am from India and if you ask me, we wear 'festive' every day! Lately, western wear has entered our lives so much that it may seem untrue but whenever we wear our traditional clothes, they for sure add the festive brightness. If you follow me on Instagram and have seen some of my stories, you'd know what I am talking about :) Here's our Diwali picture.

So I took a lovely stamp from an Indian brand Craftangles - that had this sweet image from their stamp set - Happy Rakshabandhan. This is specifically for a holiday/festival called Rakshabandhan or rakhi, in which we celebrate the bond siblings (Here are some previous cards) . But you know - this image can be used for many other festivals too, so i chose not to use a sentiment and then, when I will need it, I can put the sentiment inside.

I colored them with my alcohol markers and was very happy with how their clothes look like they are made of silk. I don't know if you feel like that! and mounted them on a die cut vellum piece. For the background I chose the embossing folder Intricate tiles that I blended with vibrant colors.

Hope you like my festive card with festive outfits and colors :)

We have Tenia Nelson of Jazzy Paper Designs, as Guest Designer, be sure to check out her adorable card! and hope you will join us :)
