Pop up cards with Liz - Valentine's Day special

Hi friends,

I was very fortunate to join the very talented Liz Ortiz for her AECP level 3 workshop where she taught us two amazing Pop up cards. I am scared of maths and I avoid numbers entirely, atleast for my cards... but Liz - the mathematician in her, made her students understand the maths of cardmaking - so well 😎I am a proud student !!!

Here's the first card with the Envelope Pop up design and I was amazed at the genius of hers, for using banner die for the envelope!! I didn't have the banner die so I gave some sweet scissor love to the paper and created my own banners. For the liner I have used an embossing folder by Simon says stamp -Blossom Field and the flowers are the beautiful Craft-a-flower - Cosmos

For the petals I have used Cosmic Berry , Purple wine and Midnight Violet. For the leaves I blended inks from the Green meadows ink family on a scrap cardstock and cut out my leaves. I would like to join Crafting with the seasons with this Spring inspired card.

I was very happy with the outcome of the card. I hope you like it too.

For the second card - I was a bit nervous with the measurements going wrong, but I was happy at what I was able to achieve. I didnot have the stamps and plates as Liz, but I did take out my Garden Rose and plucked out a beautiful rose from the garden, for the Valentine's day - written with Simon Says Stamp's Valentines day die.

The background was the same with the rose embossing and a lovely rose with the dies as my pop up element.

I really enjoyed and learnt a lot during the class and I hope you like my versions too. Check out Liz's post with all the other participant's amazing cards - here.
