Hello there!!
We have a lovely challenge up for you at Time Out Challenge - where we challenge you to be Inspired by The Red Carpet
Picket Fence Studios is our wonderful sponsor, generously offering a $25.00 Store Credit as a prize for our Challenge Winner.
This challenge came at a time when I have been watching Love is Blind and reached the weddings episode and the pictures coming out from Oscars 2025 and as I was scrolling Instagram I happened to come across - Elle Fanning in this gorgeous dress. oooh lala!
When I first saw this dress, I thought - oh wow I have all the right supplies to recreate it and became the inspired tailor - and made this card.
I have the most gorgeous Lace by Altenew - Floral Lace die to match her fabric. The inner fabric is a with a Metallic flourish paper that I used in my next card as well.
I die cut the dress from a Prima marketing Julie nutting - Megan dies. I also used a Rose gold mirror cardstock beneath the dress.
And well.. I could not stop at one - I thought I just re created her dress - let me now make a card inspired by the elements!
I knew I had to use these colors and the gorgeous lace more - So I took out the hoop die and love by Paper smooches and a needle and thread from a Spellbinders set to finish this card off!
I hope you liked my take on the Red carpet dress :D
and hope you will join us :)
Also if you have not watched my latest You Tube video, you can watch it here

Love both these Ishani - wonderful texture with the faux embossing and the red white and gold is super elegant! Simply beautiful my friend! Hugs, Kate!
ReplyDeleteWow! You nailed it with both cards! Absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards that truly embrace the beautiful elements of the dress Ishani! Love them both!! :)
ReplyDeleteHello, Ishani!
ReplyDeleteFirst, the dress that inspired you is, indeed, lovely - and your paper version is absolutely gorgeous! You've translated it perfectly with the embossing and overall design. In awe! Your embroidery hoop is also a creative take on the photo. I'm in awe of how wonderful both of these are!
So honoured to be the guest designer for this challenge; it's fun (and a bit nerve-wracking LOL) to play with this incredibly talented team!
hugs~c
I had trouble thinking of anything and you came up with two fabulous cards, Ishani. The dress is just like Elle's but taking the same items and making that sewing card was genius.
ReplyDeleteI adore the paper dress you made, Ishani! Wonderful 2nd card, too!
