Hello friends,
where we challenge you to be be inspired by
Your Favorite Holiday to Celebrate!
We are generously sponsored byAngie Blom Digital Designs, is generously offering a $20 store credit for our challenge winner.
Diwali may be over, but it is my favourite Holiday to celebrate. From dressing up to decorating homes, to eating favourite special food, meeting family and in the end all the tiredness.. it's worth it.
It's been my favourite since a kid but something changed. After becoming a mother - this festival has become more about how can I make it special for people around me. Till before that - it was a holiday for fun, frolic just for me, I didn't even realise the amount of time my mother spent in kitchen and cleaning and decorating, she would stitch me our traditional dress, lehenga (a long skirt much before Diwali). I never realised how SHE was instrumental in making it my favourite festival - I was just happy twirling in the new lehenga on Diwali 💃 .
Now I try to make Diwali memorable for my family - so my son can say - it's his favourite holiday.
I am using these lovely Ornate Flowers dies by Altenew for my card and used some bright colors I associate Diwali with for this card. These flowers are so versatile - they definitely reminded me of my culture, but may even look Persian or Hungarian - just with a change of colors.
