Hello everyone,
The first class is of white space and the Video tutorial by Laurie Willson was so inspiring, I had to use the elements
learnt there, in my homework. As my embroidery hoop die was still out, I thought
of making a card incorporating the lessons. I have two boxes of my crafty bits,
a small and a big one. I came across this beautiful scrap piece from my
inspired by Loll series cards attempts. I knew it will look pretty behind the cross stitched heart.

Now that I am a full time crafter, I thought of taking some
lessons. What could be better than MFT’s Educational series, Summer School 2018. Though I don't own many MFT products, I'll use whatever I have. Also, I am a
bit late for the challenge there, but not late to learn.
I die cut the circle and the heart and the sentiment - hello
from white cardstock and craft foam. I embossed horizontal lines with my paper
trimmer on the front panel. Using the rule of thirds – assembled the card, some
floss in a bow and nuvo drops to embellish. And wow.. it looks pretty!
Another angle to show the embossed lines.
Someone who loves to emroider or cross stitch would surely like it. What do you think?
What grade would you give me?

ReplyDeleteWow Ishani, what a beautifully crafted card! I love the clean and simple lines and design. Great idea keeping it all white, thus spotlighting the rosy bow, sentiment and cross-stitch. Simply stunning! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
ReplyDeleteI love your original frame, so "out of the box" thinking, also fab colors. Thank you for playing at AAA cards

ReplyDeleteBeautiful CAS card, Ishani! Wasn’t it great to use leftovers to make such a gorgeous and quick card? Love how your blended panel pops up with all the white elements! Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card Ishani - love the way you used the 'waste' from you other project, and the scoring is subtle and does not take the eye away from the focal point, but adds to the overall look of the card

Oh to be a full time crafter, you're very lucky! I watched Laurie's video the other day and adored her card with the butterflies so I can see how you were inspired here. Loving the coloured panel behind that lovely die cut, so effective. A wonderful CAS card, perfect for our challenge. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x

ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw this card in the gallery Ishani I thought it was a stitched card and nearly didnt come. But saw your name so came to look, so glad I did, its wonderful, I love it. Not that it wouldn't have been beautiful if it was stitched just not my style but this definitely is, wow perfect.
