Hello friends,
and welcome for another challenge at Time Out challenges, where we challenge you to be Inspired by words - “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.” —Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
This challenge is generously sponsored by Top Flight Stamps with a $25 credit to their store for our winner! What Charles Dickens Quote talks about is the weather in January, in India. And that is also the kite flying time here, utilising with the cold wind to let our kites soar and soak in the warm Sunshine.
You may be able to recognize this cute Kite die from Paper smooches. I have used the clouds from this set, often, but had used the kite just once before and with my son ending his Class 2nd this month, I thought this would make a great parting gift for a friend of his, who is moving to another city.
I chose a very versatile die by Crafty Meraki - Congrats slimline tag die and cut out two tags from white cardtsock. I then blended Distress Oxides in Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio for my background sky. I diecut the Clouds and the Kite with the tail bows and colored them with my Copics. I mounted my kite on Foam tape and adhered a twine for the Kite's thread and added the sweet bows. I added another die cut tag behind that I left white and tied them with a ribbon.
I loved to put all my beautiful supplies to use, after a long time for this tag
