Friendship card

Hello friends,

I have been postponing and being a miser since some time now. But then I finally got myself some stamps and more are on the way. I might get busy for the next six months with some studies so probably this was my last Saturday to craft-till- I -drop. Henceforth, on saturdays I'll have to attend classes! : (
One of the stamps I bought was the MFT BB Lucky dog stamps. I thought of putting a card with that set to commemorate friendship. We were 4 girls who met in 2005 and till we got married we would call and meet very frequently. Then the work life, married life, kids.. made it a little difficult. But We'll ALWAYS be Friends, is what this card is!

This is the most masked card ever, for me!  But cutting is so therapeutic too, I enjoyed it!

After when the masks were removed, I thought it looked pretty like this too, but I couldn't resist colouring :P

There were few stray marks of the ink which refused to go, so I cut my card the 'Ardyth' way ;)

Hope you…

Pink Lily card

Hello there,

I wanted to make a card with the lily I had coloured a few days back when I received my gansai tambi watercolours! So I picked it up, fussy cut it and finished my card.

I used the lily stamp from Uniko Stamps. I tried no- line colouring buy using a very light pink ink to stamp the image.

Later, I gold embossed the pollens for some interest as I was planing to gold emboss my sentiment also.

I realised that splattering by watercolours didn't give a great result, so I'll use acrylic next time!

Thankyou for visiting, hope you like my card!
Love, Ishani

Thankyou - for your kindness

Hello everyone,

I saw a post on Instagram by Take time out challenges, because it said ' if you don't have much time, why not speed stamp?' It really made me do quick stamping. Autumn also is harvest and Thanksgiving.

Using a colour palette at CAS colours and sketches, I made a card to thank a very kind, talented and sweet card maker, Tracie Pond. She showered me with her love and generosity with a post on her Instagram account. I took this opportunity to thank her.

Using my first ever purchased stamps, Autumn splendor from We r memory keepers, I did this quick, speed, repetitive stamping and luckily I had half pearls of similar colour for adding a little interest to the centre.

Tracie, I am so Thankful to you and glad to see you there are still people spreading love and kindness with a little encouragement and support in this world.

I hope you like it.  And I hope Tracie also checks this post :)

Assorted floral stamps card

Hello everyone,

I received a happy mail, from Deepti Stephens who had hosted a giveaway on her blog a while back. She is genius. If you aren't following her already, you are missing something. Be sure to check her blog Here.

She not only sent me the stamp set she had put for her giveaway, but also cute little stamps along with her very pretty card.
I wanted to use them straight away. So I took few assorted little flowers from a couple of stamp sets and tried to CASE one of my favorite card makers,  Rahmat , who did a similar card a few days back. You ought to check her cards, you'll be inspired too.

I did a little grey shadow around the You in the sentiment and put some similar coloured sequins!

Hope you like it, Thankyou for visiting :)

Masculine Beach card

Hello there,

Thankyou for visiting my blog. I am quite new at making cards with stamped images and am building my stamp collection slowly. This time I ordered Bo bunny Life's a beach stamp set. I found them very suitable for making masculine as well as generic cards.

So, with the cute beach hut stamp and the Adorable sand castle stamp, I made a simple masculine card. I used the sentiment from the Uniko Lily stamp set, which is apt for my little card!

This I made thinking of a friend with whom I have planned spending vacations, but the work life at both the ends have not made it possible yet! I love playing with sand.. And beaches are my favorite place to be! A flashback to when I didn't want to be an adult - don't you love how sand slips through the fingers? I wish we could be as carefree and enjoy the little things just like children do!

Hope you like this little beach scene!

CIC #420 My besties

Hello dear crafters,

We at Cupcake Inspirations have a new Colour challenge for you. My Besties is generously providing 3 images to our randomly chosen winner.

This is the card I made for inspiration with one of the My besties digi stamp.

I thought of removing the legs because the dress would look prettier if it was floor length! Created a scene with gold embossed Eiffel tower because this glamorous lady should be either from Paris or Milan.. don't you think so?
Hope to see you at the Cupcake inspirations challenges . Hop on to get inspired by the lovely cards by the design team.

Paw-ty Animals

Hello everyone,
I saw Casology's cue as Safari, a couple of days back on YNS's Instagram post of a fabulous animal print dress card. Such an out of the box card it was!  Since then I have been thinking of what to make! I don't have any wild animal stamps so had to think of something else, that'll represent Safari!

Finally, my dear strips of paper came to rescue . I quilled paw prints on a kraft card stock. Did a little handlettering for the sentiment. The paw-ty was an inspiration from YNS blog hop, an idea from their let'a pawty set! And a party look at the side with gold dots washi tape.

I had more fun clicking the pics, as my two year old son was super happy arranging his animals for me! :D

Hope you like this little quilled paw-ty card!

Quilled Wreath & Quirky earrings

Hello Everyone,

Today am at the Rainbow Craftykari blog with my first post for some inspiration on our latest challenge, which you can find here. August is the month for celebrating friendship and so I planned to put some love and make something for my best friend too.

To tell her how I cherish our sweet friendship, I decided to make a card for her and a pair of quilled earrings.

I chose to do some handlettering for the quote on friendship, as the sentiment for the card. For the design I chose to build a wreath, around the quote. A wreath is circular and symbolic of  eternity. I wish our friendship also lasts forever.

The quilling done here, is not very traditional, I thought to experiment with different coils and was happy with the texture it gave to the flowers. After arranging my quilled elements for the wreath, it was stuck on a black cardbase.

I made a pair of quilled quirky earrings for her. The shape here is also a circle, symbolising our everlasting friendship. I chose the vi…

Guest Designer for AAA cards #96

Hello Everyone,

I was so honoured and excited when Jane mailed me to be a Guest Designer for the AAA card challenges #96 . My crafter friend Jasleen had guest designed for the challenge no. #92, for which I had created a wax resist card. That card, the win and this opportunity will always be very special to me.

I was introduced to CAS by AAA cards, it was Jane who explained to me what it was and now I think I have a fascination for CAS style. The theme for this challenge is  Summer Fun and I created this card for inspiration.

I used distress ink blending for the sandy beach, the sea and the sky. I used a masking tape at the place I wanted the horizon, for a crisp line and a demarcation between the sea and the sky. Rest is very simple, I did a little paper piecing for the flip-flops and rolled a paper to make it look like a beach towel (a floral one.. florals can be everywhere!).

I made it a Miss you card, because I realised I had only put a pair of flip flops and what is summer fun at…
