Happiness is with a Kitty

Hello friends,
I have a CAS card with a lovely stamp by Your Next stamp called Happiness is you, which is probably retired now as I couldn't find it on the YNS site. The challenge at the blog was calling me aloud to play with my goodies. I got some goodies last year from a code YNS shared for CIC Sweeties - and I am ashamed I haven't used few of them yet.
For this card, I coloured my girl and the kittie with Copic markers and created a background with Stencils called stripes and distress inks in blue. And the pink cardstock for my card base.

The sentiment is from another stampset by YNS called Bunches of happiness. I hope you like my card.

CIC 469 - Shaped card for Mother's day

Hello dear crafters,
There is a new theme challenge -Shaped Cards up atCupcake Inspiration challenge . This biweekly challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn.

Lawn Fawn is generously providing a gift certificate to our randomly chosen winner.
I wanted to do something different and thought of checking some you tube videos for shaped cards and I happened to come across this lovely tutorial by Elaine's creations - this video. I took the guidance of her tutorial for the structure of the flower pot and gave it my twists. I used my recent birthday present Altenew's Fantasy floral 3D die set for the potted plant. A Spellbinders border die, a gift from Paru Mahtani , an EF by Itsy Bitsy and sentiment by Your Next Stamp for my flower pot.

It's perfect for writing a loving note for your mother in the insert.

I hope you like my card and will play along at the challenge with your shaped cards. The Design sweeties have created lovely projects for you to get inspired by, check them out here.

AAA - 139 Pearl Anniversary

Hi there,
We a have a new challenge up at AAA cards and there is a sketch to play with along with an optional twist of shaker.

I didn't choose to twist, as I love my shaker elements too much to put the whole lot in a shaker 😄 I chose a stamp by an Indian CompanyTubby craft - Precious treasure and used watercolours to colour it. I used a sentiment by Uniko stamps for completing my card.

Winnie and Walter are our kind sponsors and are giving away $25 GC to our winner.

We have with us the very talented cardmaker, who's famous for her illustrations as our Guest designer, Raga Senthil of Perky Hobby.  Hope you'll stop by at her blog and leave some love.
Hope you'll play along. Just to remind the CAS definition at AAA Cards

Ballerina card with Reflection stamping

Hello there,
How are you doing? I have had to give a pause to my card making for few days and now that I was very hungry, I broke my fast with a technique card. I went ahead to check few challenges and Time out challenges had 'playful' as their challenge. I googled what Playful really meant. I often take help of google to learn what a word means. And it said, it is an adjective
giving or expressing pleasure and amusement. "the ballet accents the playful use of movement"
Ballet - Let's make it more playful! So for my card I tried Mirror stamping  with the Tu-tu cute stamp set by Waffle flower crafts .

I used Zig markers to colour my ballerinas and fussy cut them. OK so Mirror stamping is tricky and ruins paper even if one of the impression isn't aligned and I had to do 3 shadows. After ruining one layer because I couldn't get them straight, I put a washi tape and stamped, that ways it came in a line. That's when I planned to sponge some Tumbled glass t…

One stamp - Two cards

Hello everyone,
I finally took time out to click these cards I made after the Twofer challenge was announced. I was too busy with my birthday and my son's. Not mine.. but yes.. Birthday party for my 4 year old kept me busy. I used the Peek -a-boo stamp set by Craftyscrappers for my zoo animal - hippo!
For the first card I used a stencil called Fade Diamond by Craftangles to create the back panel of my top folding card and stamped the hippo on the edge, coloured it and cut it along it's mouth for some interest. And a sentiment from Mint Owl Studios -Snarky Birthday sentiments that I bought from Ankita Agarwal's destash.

For my second card I did masking for my Hippo team that's come to thank their friend. I added some bows and hats for some interest and DO swimming pool in the background. Hippos love water!

I hope you like my cards too!

CIC 468 - Be a Mermaid - All dressed up stamps

Hello everyone,
I hope you all have your mojos up to craft as this time we would love you to  use Inspirational Quotes on your projects at Cupcake Inspirations.  I am sure looking for inspiration quotes will make you dive into your craft rooms.

This biweekly challenge is sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps and they are  generously providing two digital images to our randomly chosen winner.

I was inspired by this fabulous quote and got an opportunity to play along with this cutest mermaid - Mermaid Kisses by All dressed up stamps. I coloured her with Copic markers and for the background I used a stencil over Cracked Pistachio Distress oxide and then sponged my Salty ocean DO. I cut my front card panel twice with the stitched wave die (from my previous posted card) and adhered the scalloped bg inside. I did some hand lettering with a brush pen for this lovely quote. With the rains we have had frequent power failures and no computer to be used for printing the quote.

AAA - 138, A Clean and simple, Hello

Hello there,
We have an interesting game up at AAA cards, this fortnight, Along the edge plus the Optional twist of stitiching!

We have Stamplorations as our kind sponsors for this challenge and they have sponsored $15 GC to their shop.

For my card I have used, STAMPloration's Dee's Artsy Impressions Frames and Flowers stamp set. I chose one of the flower from the stamp set and a set of leaves and did repetitive stamping with two pink inks and two green. I cut the front panel of my A2 card with the stitched steel border dies for my faux stitching. A hello from the same stamp set and few pearls for the centre of my flowers.

We have the very talented and one of my favourite CAS artist, Michelle Wallace, as our guest today and what a stunner CAS card she has for this game! For more inspiration hop on to our challenge blog where amazing CAS artists show you how you can make a card in minutes.

Happy new home

Hello there,
I have CASEd my own card but with a cool technique I have come across,  many a times on Instagram. I planned the card around the ongoing challenge at Just us girls - where the challenge is houses and Inspirational-Pop it up. I just have one stamp with houses and it has a coordinating die. I have been wanting to do the die cutting of the front panel and pop my image up on foam dots. And this stamp and cut by Hero arts is perfect for this technique. Please do let me know what's this technique called, I can't remember.

I coloured the stamped image and the tree with Copic markers and die cut the front panel and popped the image on the inside on foam dots. It's such a cool and playful card. I love it.

I hope you like it too!

IQCG #57 - Encouraging ATCs

Hello friends,
Have you checked out the new Challenge at Indian Quilling Challenge?  This month we are going to play with ATCs - Artist Trading Cards.
An artist trading card (or ATC for short) is a tiny, original piece of art created with the intention of swapping or trading it with another artist, not selling it. An ATC must be 2.5 x 3.5 inches or 64 x 89 mm in size. ATC are not limited to just mixed media! You can use all kinds of papers, embellishments, paints and inks to create them. Please remember we are a Quilling challenge blog and Quilling should be the focus of your project for it to qualify to win the prize.
In this challenge you will need to create 3 ATC's, a group or a set. Each one should be matching. Please remember we do have some Challenge Rules to follow so look them over to ensure your entries qualify to win this month's prize!
I played around the Ocean and used some encouraging sentiments for my ATCs.
I majorly made the waves with 3mm strips and added the props…
