Penguin in water

Image
Hello everyone,
I have tried the mirror stamping for reflection in my Ballerina card and I thought this cutie Penguin from Winnie an Walter would be perfect for the same as they spend quite some time in icy waters. In my IG post I wrote it's party time in Antarctica, but it's summers there at this time of the year, can't be snowing! He must have swam up to the North pole, hehe.

Mirror stamping is fun and though this was the third attempt to get the reflection right, I see imperfections. Anyways, I'll keep trying till I am happy. So may be some more mirror stamping has to be done!
I took out this penguin after seeing the Rerun at the Winnie and Walter blog, I had to give him a bath! It was even snowing with my new Embossing folder that I bought from an Indian craft company's sale! I am always itching to use the new things I buy.
I hope you like my cute guy and wish you and your loved ones a Very Happy 2019 !

New year wishes

Image
Hello again,
With New year approaching and I have to send few cards I thought of playing at few challenges and using the new dies I got from an Indian craft company's sale. This is a Recollections die too and the photo inspiration at Inkspirational made me itch to use it.

I die cut the feather from the front panel of a black cardstock and adhered a gold mirror paper in the negative. Then I embossed the dots from another new embossing folder I got on the die cut feather. I mounted the embossed feather on a die cut black foam, stuck it on the panel and heat embossed my sentiment in gold. This sentiment is a gift from my dear friend Rahmat from Cards and cooking corner and I am so grateful that she sent this because I didn't have a New Year wishes stamp.
Hope you like it and wishing you a very Happy 2019 :)

Gift wrap ensemble

Image
Hello everyone,
I have been missing crafting but I made sure to check the challenges going on, so that I can craft as soon as I am back home. One of the challenges I wanted to play at was this Gift ensemble challenge at Neat and Tangled.  And luckily I made it in time!

Their illustrations are the cutest! And I have had an opportunity to lay my hands on few of their cutest stamp sets. I have used three of them for my Gift ensemble.

First, is the gift bag I made watching an Origami tutorial to make bags. (I realised how important is a scoring board to make such gift bags. I have to buy it before I plan to enter a challenge again.) I made the gift bag with an A4 size paper and stamped the hearts in coral red. I colored and fussy cut the  cutest Koala ever- from the Koalifications stamp set and attached it on the gift bag.

We in India have a tradition of giving money to the those who are younger than us. I thought of making a Gift money envelope for my next project and these bears from …

Friends flock together

Image
Hello everyone,
I have been missing crafting since so long. All my previous posts were made before I left home last month in the end of Nov. Almost after a month of a tiny bit of colouring that I could do I am back and itching to craft. I have not even unpacked completely :P
These bird dies from Recollections is a recent purchase and I knew I wanted to use them. The quote is something I relate so much to and the cue at Time out was perfect for me to use for this flock! I always find people of same interest or similar backgrounds in a group and instantly become friends. Is it with you too?
So a Clean and simple card with diecuts and some handlettering,  because I didn't have a stamp that said so!

Hope you like it.

CFC- 215 Dry embossing with dies

Image
Hello everyone,
CAS-ual Friday challenges has their last challenge up on the blog. This time get on your Embossing folders or dry emboss with dies.

For my card I used Dies are Jumping jack fri-dies for the dry embossed look. The sentiment is from Big Treble stamp set.

I hope you'll join at the last challenge of the 8 successful years of the CAS-ual fridays. Do check out the challenge, the design team's dazzling interpretations will surely inspire you.

Michele is also generously offering a $25 gift certificate to the overall winner at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. And if that weren't enough, if the chosen winner has used CAS-ual Fridays stamps and/or dies as the main focus in the card, that gift certificate will increase to $50.

See you at the challenge. Happy crafting everyone.
