AAA- 137 You're Precious

Hello everyone,
We have a new game up at AAA Card challenge , Made in minutes with an optional twist of Dry Embossing.

First plan your card and gather your supplies. Then see if you can create it in minutes - under 15 would be great, but no more than 30.We are sponsored by the fabulous Heffy Doodlefor this challenge and they are offering £25 Gift voucher for our winner.
I used our sponsor's Geology rocks stamp setand though I am a sucker for dry embossing I didn't use it for my card. I did loose watercolouring for my card with the Camlin brush pens and a little water brush. I love the "not - covering - all - the - corners- colouring". The CAS lover in me showed gutsin doing so :P But it gave a gradient and a shine to my jewels.

Any guesses how long it took for me??  I clocked it and it just touched 7 minutes.
We have the very talented Kateryna Pioniya as our guest today and what a stunner CAS card she has for this game, it'll blow your socks off! For more inspi…

Yellow poppies

Hello friends,
I know you have not missed me, but I have missed you all. I had eye flu and a terrible cold that made me keep my eyes shut for last three days. I had made this card, because I want to broaden my horizons and wanted to create something I always have felt is a challenge, a challenge at Create a smile - Monochromatic but had no energy to share it here. Now that am much better, I thought I'll share it.
Some masking, very little, I just used scraps of washi tape to overlap the petals and a limited stash of Yellow Copic markers and the Warm grey were used for the Pure poppies by Create a smile stamps. I then blended yellow ink in the gaps and the space between the flowers. Sentiment is by Simon says stamp. A top folded card with front panel with embossed horizontal lines and my coloured panel on some craft foam.

I hope you like my attempt :)  Happy creating!

Polka tags

Hello friends,
I got a couple of tags to share today.  I have never played at Tag - you are it challenge, but I remember, it was one of the first challenges I came across when I joined Instagram in 2017 and now that they restarted it and has all my favourite artists/ladies in the design team... I am so inspired to play along.
So I have decided,  I'll get my stash of tags up, by playing at the challenge. Many times I need tags for gifts on birthdays, anniversaries,  bookmarks.. I hope I can keep playing.
Here's my first tag for the polka dots challenge. The monkey is by Craftyscrappers - peek-a- boo stamp set  and the foliage is hello bluebird dies. I was inspired by the tag of the reminder post,  how Tracey made polkas on the dress and hat of the girl, I made polkas with a pen too,  because I didn't have a green polka paper and added gel pen dots on his cap and gift too.

The second tag is a bookmark with the stamp set from Itsy Bitsy called - Princess and dragon, the s…

Faux stained floral window

Hello everyone,
Happy Birthday CAS mix up!
I am late to wish CAS mix up challenge, hearty congratulations on their 3 rd birthday, with a card! I had planned two cards but alas! At least, I have one up on time.
Taking cues from my guru (Loll's post), I did something similar but I didn't have the Crystal glaze, so used what I had (glossy accents) for my stained glass effect.

On suggestion of Michele Ferguson on Instagram (she's a sweetheart), that this die would be perfect for this technique. I got my only STAMPloration products*  Trendy Spring bloom dies  out and played with this cool technique. The sentiment is from an Altenew stamp.

It had a lovely end though, the card was kept on my table and luckily I took pics before my 3 year old artist gave it, his signature. My watermark is my son's finger print and behind my cards I make him do a finger print and I write Quillish, so he improvised and made this.  Peacock feathers finger prints :D

I hope you like my card and t…

Flowers in the night

Hello everyone,
Flowers in the night.. does it sound right?? Don't know,  I couldn't come with a name! Can you suggest something better?
This card has to be one of the most interesting cards to make and so strinking. Also, I have also given my embossing folder some love in this card.

I played with Mudra's Persian floral and my first embossing folder from Itsy bitsy. Even this stamp was amongst the first 'expensive stamps' from my first few months of trying stamping. Then the craze happened ( and then I realised this is not an expensive stamp) and though I still try to be a frugal crafter, I buy things that I feel is timeless.

I hope you like my card and my attempt to get my old stash some love :)

Holi hai!

Hello friends,
Happy Holi! We Indians celebrate the festival of Holi - On arrival of spring, it has significance from the Hindu scriptures, but all religions celebrate this festival of colors. Here is a little article on our festival of holi. I used the stamp - Happy Holi, from Craftyscrappers for this card.

I used Sizzix scalloped circle die and cut my Bielo smooth paper out of it then I blended colorful Distress inks through an ink splash stencil, I had bought from a local store. Finally I stamped my sentiment in Memento ink and them embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I hope you like my card and wish you a beautiful season of spring and a very Happy Holi.

Guest Designer - CAS Stencil challenge - gentle reminder

Hello again, I am delighted to present another card (previous card), as a guest at the  CAS StencilChallenge, as a gentle reminder for you all, to join all of us with your CAS beauties using stencil! We are playing with the ghosting technique and I made a floral card today with this technique.

I used a rose stencil by an Indian brand called Craftyscrappers (alas! this stencil is discontinued) for my ghosting. I blended three shades of Distress oxides, Abandoned Coral, Worn lipstick and spun sugar in gradation and then placed my stencil and spritzed some water. Two diecut leaves from Altenew and the sentiment by Uniko Ltd and tadaa.. here's my card.

In my previous post (here) I shared the tips for this technique, incase you are new to it, you can go through 'my lessons learnt'.
I must take this opportunity to thank Julia, Loll and all the lovely artists who took out time to leave me love on my previous post as GD at CAS Stencil. I was overwhelmed with joy and was counting m…

CIC - 466 Cinderella card

Hello friends,
This week at Cupcake Inspiration challenge, we are hosting a color challenge. We are using the colors, lilac, white, and sky bluein your cards, and we are eager to see how you use these beautiful colors in your projects!

This biweekly challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo StampsThey are generously providing a $12 gift certificate to our randomly chosen winner.

I used Frame it - Cinderella digital stamp generously provided by our sponsors for this card. I used Copics and Polychromos to color and I must admit I am in love with this color combination.

Isn't that sentiment, lovely? I used a plaid patterned paper from Pretty Plaid paper pack by Craftangles and the stitched square scallop frame die-namics to frame the card.

The sweeties have adorable projects with this color cobination (here), hope you'll join us with your take on or color challenge.

AAA 136 - Hello Spring

Hello friends,
A new challenge is up at AAA Cards and this time the game is One Image with Optional Twist Spring. Also, it's a moment of pride as an Indian company Craftyscrappers are our kind sponsors and are giving away $20 GC to be spent from their shop.

I have used our sponsor's stampset called Peek-a-boo for this card. I coloured this cute elephant with Copic markers and added some grass to ground it. Butterflies in spring, come to say hello!

I hope I have inspired you to join us at the challenge. Aleksa is our Guest Designer for this challenge and get ready to get bowled over by her take on this challenge. Visit us at the challenge (here) to get inspired by our lovely guest and the talented design team and join us with your CAS cards.

Cancerian Birthday wishes

Hello again,
So a star gazer and a Linda Goodman fan couldn't stop at one. This cute Crab is from Itsy Bitsy and the background is with Spellbinders embossing folder - Splish splash. I tried a technique I have seen Loll Thompson do many times, but hadn't tried it myself and I loved the result.

I die cut the arch die and placed it in the EF. But before I placed it in the EF I applied some Salty Ocean and Peacock feather Distress Oxides on the flatter side and spritzed it with water, then ran through the Die cutting machine. I colored my cute crab with Copics, stamped my sentiment and arranged the whole card on foam tape.

I hope you like this clean and simple card. I actually like it a lot and may make a Piscean cards too, with the same design, what do you think?

Aries constellation

Hello everyone,
I have been planning to play at the LIM - horoscopes, am such a Linda Goodman fan, I had to play! I  did a CAS version of my Quilling work (here) for my constellation (I am an Arian) and I have many Arian friends I can send this to.

I made a violet-blue- black watercolour background, splashed some acrylic paint, die cut it. Used 2mm paper strips to form the constellation and adhered some pearls for the Constellation stars. Taddaaa.. here is my Arian constellation :)

I hope you like it !
Thank you for stopping by.
