Image
Hello,
thank you for stopping by. Today I have a card to join in at Inky Paw's 100th challenge, again with the same stamp set, Aloha Newton.

I used this sketch and this theme
So the Aloha Newton is my latest purchase of NND stamps and it has become a favorite of mine. I love the playfulness of the illustrations, a relaxing Newton and the other playing a guitar. Also the paw stencil is so cool. I am glad I bought it. It can be used for various projects.
I hope you like my card.

For classy teachers

Image
Hello there,
Inky paw challenges has its 100th challenge celebration and dear friend Debbie from Indy's design also a DT there and at CIC, has always inspired me to play at IPC. So, I got my favourite stamp and most used too, for making bookmarks for my son's teachers. They are always a great thank you gifts for teachers and also in India we celebrate teachers' day, which is approaching, so it was a perfect time to make some bookmarks for the teachers. So I went through the previous challenges and played with the Classy teachers set.
I coloured them with Copic markers, fussy cut, made the background with versamark ink and tadaa..

My first bookmark is with inspired by just the previous challenge - Challenge 99

The second bookmark is inspired by Challenge 26

The third bookmark inspired by  -Thank you challenge

Sorry, the pictures are not as bright as I'd like because I depend on sunlight and we have had pre-monsoon showers lately, no good sunny days. I hope you, still l…

STAMPlorations - heat embossing on Digital stamps

Image
Hello everyone,

I am back again with a guest designing post for Stamplorations , where we are showcasing the amazing Digital stamps. Have you tried Heat Embossing with Digital stamps? Today, for both my cards I did heat embossing, one with clear embossing powder and the other with a gold embossing powder.

For today's project I have used two different Digi stamps from two different bundles - Coffee Blossom digital stamp - set of 9 and Blossom frames digital stamps - set of 6 and used two different mediums of coloring. I looove florals and roses are a weakness, so I chose these digi stamps for my first project.
For the first card I used Coffee Blossom digital stamp and chose the coffee cup with floral spray. I printed it out on Bristol smooth paper and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, as I wanted to color it with my Zig brush markers. I then fussy cut it, used a black marker for the edges and placed it on a black cardstock to be used as a layer on my white A2 side fold…

IQCG #59 - Quilled book

Image
Hello dear quillers,

Couple of days left to link in your "School memories" entries for our ongoing challenge.
It was in school that our English teacher instilled in us, the habit of reading. Not just curriculum books, but she assigned us with classic novels asked us to subscribe to The Hindu newspaper and would make us write 10 new words as every Sunday's homework. She would say 'Today a reader, tomorrow a leader'. This is the memory I recreated with my edge quilling project to inspire you to join us.

I used 3mm strips in white and red for my work. I think the whole project is self explanatory.

I hope you like my work and will play along with your 'school memories'.

Just for reminding  - these are the Challenge Rules:
1. Must follow IQCG blog
2.  Maximum of 3 Projects can be linked
3.Must be a new one made after this announcement
4.International entries are welcome

AAA 143 - Christmas in June

Image
Hello dear card makers,
Sunday is the day for a new game at AAA cards and this time we are playing with a corner with a twist of flowers.

Uniko Ltd is kind sponsor for this challenge.

I have to start Christmas cards early this year, so I planned this card with a retired Uniko stamp.  Corner placement of my image and the sentiment in merry colors.

I hope you will play along with your clean and simple cards.

Tweet friend's bird-day

Image
Hello there,
I am glad you stopped by ! I have been coloring to my hearts content these days (shared on my Instagram page), with Kathy Rac's the daily marker challenge and on day 5, I had colored  these birdies from MFT's Tweet friends stamp set that I bought for my birthday (day I could splurge)  from Ranganjali store here in India .

I used the one with outlines for a birthday card, using the sketch and colours, both from MFT challenges.

I coloured my tweet bird with Zig markers and that curve  on the top, don't even ask me.. it was a struggle to get partial die cut a Wonky stitched oval Die-namics. I don't have any border die with such curve, I might have to buy it.
I hope you like my tweet bird-day greetings :)

Guest Designer - STAMPlorations

Image
Hello everyone,

I am delighted and honoured to be a guest designer at Stamplorations , where we are showcasing the Digital stamps

For the first card I used Coffee Blossom digital stamp and chose the floral card front which is in A2 size. I printed it out on Neenah Solar white paper and coloured with Copic markers. For the sentiment I used Hello from Frames and floral stamp set.

For my next card I used Blossom frames digital stamps - set of 6 and sentiment from Thankful & blessed stamp set . I used thin washi tapes as masks and made a background panel by blending various coloured disterss inks. I printed the digital stamp on watercolor paper and coloured it wig Zig brush…

Happy Bird- day

Image
Hello again,
The daily marker challenge has made me an early riser, hehehe. So getting my NBUS out and inked, I thought let me make a card and play along at challenges.

I used the background stamp by MFT geometric grid (a stamp sent by Tejal Mehta) for the main card panel in versamark and on the pink cardstock with CP's Party dress. The birds and the branches are from Tweet on you stamp set by MFT.
I hope you like it.

For the head of the tribe

Image
Hello there,

I have a card that I made for my father for this Father's day. For the head of our tribe! I am on a mission to use all my unused stash. This card has uses a die set from Recollections cut and emboss dies, I had made this card with the feather from this set. But this Teepee was calling me.
I used this way stencil by Sarah G's Funky Fossil designs, a gift by Sandie Munroe with perfect pearls in the front and for the back panel with distress ink. The silver perfect pearls look very pretty on black cardstock, but alas, the sheen couldn't be captured in the picture.

I used a grey ink pad an pressed it on the debossed surface of the die and then die cut my teepee. That left a grey mark as the die embossed on the paper. The sentiment is from Happy Day stamps set by Craftangles .
My father liked the card, hope you like it too.

Mandala birthday

Image
Hello everyone,
Sharing today. a birthday card with a beautiful stamp by Waffle Flower Lacy flower stamp set.  The colours are inspired by the LIM challenge. I am stunned at how pretty this color combination looks.

I did Emboss resist for this card by heat embossing the stamp with white EP, sponged the Distress inks and wiped it with a slightly wet  tissue. Fussy cut the mandala and then cut it in two halves. Actually I was planning how to put a mandala for a CAS card, the whole mandala took a lot of space and didn't leave the space that I'd call white space. So I planned to put it in halves. This, makes my CAS heart happy. Finishing off with a happy birthday sentiment and a couple of clear sequins.
I hope you like it.

Happy Fathers' Day

Image
Hello everyone,
I doubt if any father would visit my blog, but if you are one - Happy Fathers' day! This card is to celebrate the bond of a dad and his kids - the piggy bag rides or just climbing on him.. it reminds me mostly of my father asking me and my brother when we were kids.. to climb on his back - in a way that it massages and relaxes him. And we kids loved to rock and roll and balance on his back.

I did no line watercoloring for my baby pair after getting inspired by Kristina Werner's video - here. I used Neat and Tangled's Mommy, Daddy and me for the similar story book look like Kristina. The grass is with Craftangles - stripes stencil and the die is Elizabeth Craft designs grass die. I used Antique linen distress ink and browns from Zig clean color brush pens to color them. I also used a  brown Polychromo pencil colour in brown to give texture of fur.
I hope you like my attempt. This bear was colored on day 2 of Kathy Rac's the daily marker challenge. On da…
