TO - Purple Angel - CASual Fridays

Image
Hello everyone, 26th March was Epilepsy Awareness day and we want to help raise awareness of this condition.  Purple is the colour for Epilepsy and a purple ribbon represents Epilepsy and that's why we want to use Lots or a little purple. Epilepsy is a complicated condition that is often misunderstood. Many see seizures in the media as convulsive seizures but there are many types of seizures-many are silent and you wouldn't even know they were happening!  You can take a look at this  link  to find out more.  Also  Sandie , our team leader, has epilepsy and she tells you her experience of living with this condition-so visit her blog if you want to know more. Plus there is a hop going on to raise awareness of Epilepsy with some super Guest Designer and some prizes along the way.  Friketa  is organising this-pop on over and hop along!  We have 'friendship' as our 'optional twist' as we thought it would be nice to send a purple card to a fr

I made my card base with  MFT's Water colour stripes background stamp  by stamping Soft pink over a blush pink cardstock. I hope you will join us with your take on these colors. Also, I am part of the  Save the You tuber video hop!  Have you checked it out yet? AAA - Plant a garden - Funky fossil

Hello dear friends, Hope you all are doing fine and are staying in and practicing social distancing. This new challenge at  AAA cards  has come at the right time. Even though I had plans for these hard times, my day gets over sooner than it used to earlier. Everyone home, endless chores, a kid to keep entertained, I have to use those few free minutes in hand for making cards. Our new game is made in minutes with optional twist of use a stencil.  We are sponsored by   Funky Fossil  for this challenge and they are giving away  £15.00 store credit to our winner. I must tell you that even though I made this card in minutes , I had been planning it in my head all the time I was cooking :D I have seen cards with that torn edge look and I have been waiting to try it and I was so glad I could use it for this card. I didn't even use a masking paper. I used a copy paper I had on my desk, tore it into two and kept on my cardstock and put a stencil over it for sponging wit

Spring beauty - Newton's Nook

Image
Hello crafty friends, I have been wanting to play with my new goodies and this stamp set by Newton's Nook  Loads of blooms . This was my first card with the set and now this is the second. I love this set, love it! I used the colours of the Inky Paws challenge for this Pastel card and took out my Pastel Tombow set for getting the colours as closest as in the challenge.  I stenciled soft clouds and fussy cut the flowers to look as if they were flying off the cycle. For the centre of the flowers I used Ivory seashell Nuvo drops. I hope you like my spring inspired card.  Don't forget to check out the awesome Save the craft You tuber video hop that is going on. Everyone who plays and uses our optional twist of die cutting/fussy cutting will be entered into a random drawing to win a $40 gift voucher to the Stamplorations online store! We are thankful to them for the magnanimous prize! I used one of the flowers from    Trendy spring bloom dies  for my card. I sponged the petals with pink ink and leaves with greens and inlaid them back. And although I had plans to do heat embossing, we are experiencing power cut and I didnt want to wait until the power was restored, so I stamped my sentiment in black.  We have  Christine  joining us as our guest. CIC - Sending inlaid butterfly - STAMPlorations

Image
Hello and welcome, There is a new challenge up at Cupcake Inspiration challenges and we are playing with Butterflies. I chose a gorgeous die by STAMPlorations  Flutter Zen  for my card and a sentiment by SSS. I have done inlaid technique and achived a partial die cut look with the butterfly die. The upper butterfly is cut from vellum and the blue portion is some Brushos on water color paper. I had initially cut a white butterfly but then after sleeping over this card, in the morning I decided to add vellum. I added wink of stella on the blue butterfly panel and stuck the vellum butterfly. I hope you like the card and will join us at  Cupcake inspirations challenge . Also, did you check the  International Women's day celebrations  ? I have used STAMPlorations stencil for  my project , hope you will join in to celebrate womanhood.
