Jingle bells

Image
Continuing with the Christmas Cheer.. Hello again! Christmas is over but the cheer hasn't gone yet. I have been wanting to do some colouring so I took out the Bells stamp from Mudra Craft Stamp 'Jingle bells'. I gold heat embossed it and coloured the bells with my pencil colours and the rest with zig markers. Colouring turned well gets me all excited! Did some watermarking on a red card stock, with bells from 'Christmas decors' from Mudra stamps. Heat embossed the edges of the matted sheets with Gold embossing powder. And resisted putting on some sequins (lol).                                Hope you like it! Mudra craft stamps challenge -15 Your next stamp -79 Cards in envy Uniko challenge- 44 christmas

Bokeh Cheers

Image
Hello there, Am glad you stopped by. I was thinking of what kind of card to make for New Year, as I don't have a new year stamp or numbers. Then I remembered my humble pencil eraser and the Emboss-it pen I could use and do some hand lettering too. I used two embossing powders (Ranger's - Gold & Liquid Platinum), and distress oxide ink (vintage photo) to give the light, distant bokeh look. You have to be very careful with using powder tool for removing static (I have made my own using my baby's sock) and removing strays with a brush. This card am sharing, is the third attempt and finally without any stray powder. I used one powder once. I did golden first, heat embossed it, then did the champagne dots. Wherever I had empty space I used the distress oxide ink, overlapping it with the already embossed dots. With a wet ear bud I wiped the ink that was left over the embossed dots. A 'Cheers' stamp and little handlettering.. and tadaaa.. am so proud of it!

Kindness card

Image
Hello there I have had this idea for a card on Kindness since I saw Anna's fabulous card ( here ). For this card I did some free hand drawing, quilling and hand lettering for this card. With me, when I don't have the stamps and I want to make something, I get to stretch my supplies! This one girl I think of who's been so very kind to me, to whom I dedicate this card is Raga Senthil from Perky hobby ( here ). You must not miss her creativity and if you've come across her, you'll know what a kind soul she is! Now we are at the threshold with new year around the corner, I want to take the opportunity to Thank everyone for your kind words. This first year of my serious card making, turned serious only because of your love and encouragement!                             Thankyou so much Joining in for   CASology challenge. Floral blooms

Hello everyone, Thank you for visiting! Hope you had a lovely Christmas. I have gone crazy writing posts.. this is my fourth in a day! Couldn't utilise the break better. Today's Birthday of my lovely senior from the Indian Air Force. She is very sweet and kind! She has always encouraged me to craft. We both are doing this MBA course together. She just got her release from Air force and is on a threshold of changing careers. I made this card especially for her. Using my new Concord & 9th Blooms fill-in stamp that I recently ordered on pre-order from Rainbow Craftykari  shop. What a fabulous stamp set it is! We have a little break too, so I gave her the card before the holidays began and she loved it. Hope you like it too :) Happy Holidays Ishani Linking it to Where creativity meets c9 Time out challenges

Smile :)

Hello friends, I made a card for the ongoing challenge at Casology  ,  AAA cards  and  Inkspirational . I always wait for them.. and I try my best to participate in them. 'Kindness' is something I believe can be shown with just a smile. And that smile can definetly 'Sparkle' up anyone's day and the be best 'Gift' ! Here's my interpretation in this card. From the time I was a in school, where I read this quote once, it's something I believe and even practice. "Give a smile to someone passin, thereby making their morning glad. It may greet you in the evening, when your own heart may be sad." I used a glitter paper for the inlay technique and dry embossed stars in the inner circle. Hope you like it. Linking it to
