XOXO - Perfume love - Pencil coloring on black cardstock

Image
Hello again, The STAMPlorations theme and photo prompt made me do what I had been planning since ages.. pencil coloring on black cardstock inspired by Yana's amazing cards. I used Polychromos to colour these wee perfume bottles from Mon Cheri by MFT  and STAMPlorations  Cutplorations - xoxo word die . I like the colors on black but, Verdict of pencil coloring -  I am not "yay- very happy" I had sharpened still it is not like how Yana shows. The paper had tooth, it was heavy wt black cardstock by Craftangles. May be Prismacolour is better? Also may be, because I have only 24 colours, the shades couldnt be built in? Please tell me if you have any experience. I hope your lessons will help me get better results next time.  Thank you for stopping by! TO - Giving love - Uniko Ltd

Image
Hello everyone, Have you joined us at the new challenge, up at Time Out Challenges ?  We want you to be inspired by words and you have few more days to join in. Uniko Ltd are our lovely sponsors and I have used their  Originally Organic stamp set  for the flowers and  You are, yes you stamp set  for the sentiment. I went with giving love and appreciating and letting someone know, how wonderful they are.. should be done more often. I used a new paper - Brustro Bristol for Zig coloring these gorgeous blooms. and I must say, nothing is better than Strathmore Bristol for Zigs. I have used this paper for water coloring with liquid colors, for which it is lovely. But IMO, not for waterbased markers. Hope you will take some time out and play along. Crayon colored birthday wishes - STAMPlorations

Image
Hello everyone, October has been verrry busy. With all the important festivals over, Diwali cards and DT cards done, I got time to make some - cards that don't have to be done by a deadline.  I have a birthday card that I made for a dear friend and a junior from the Indian Air Force, who has become a card maker herself - Dhruvika from the Cardogram . Do stop by, to give her some love.  As I was thinking to send her a card, I thought I will make one keeping her in mind. She has gone through tough times. Tougher than we can ever imagine. But she is like this colourful butterfly, spreading her cheerfulness and happiness, to all those whom she meets. I used my son's Oil pastels - in Fluorescent pink, Vermillion hue and Lemon yellow colours  and used heat gun to melt them. These colors were a gift to him from my crafty friend Anila from Novel ideas . I die cut the STAMPlorations -  CUTplorations Flutter zen- Layering-Dies butterfly from the colorful crayon paper and adh

Namaste and welcome to our little hop. Few of us cardmakers along with some lovely companies have got together to make this festival season, brighter and happier. From the snow capped glaciers to the deep forest in the east, to the sand dunes of west to the deep waters of the Indian Ocean, our soldiers are on duty 24 x 7. A little about Diwali On the day of Diwali, it is a custom to worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha (the Elephant head God) . The  Goddess Lakshmi, is the Goddess of wealth , fortune, luxury and prosperity (both material and spiritual) while  Lord Ganesha is revered as the remover of obstacles , the patron of arts and sciences and the ‘Deva’ of intellect and wisdom. People worship these two deities together to welcome wealth along with intelligence. Since no celebration is deemed complete without invoking Lord Ganesha, Diwali is no

Angel's feathers

Image
Hello again, Now that my feathers are out, I thought I will spread them a bit more ;) I have used a stampset by a n Indian company called Peek a boo designs that unfortunately closed down. I have a friend of mine, who says this sentiment everytime. She does Angel card reading, Tarot cards and all the spiritual things I don't even know about. And believe you me, in the midst of an Urban jungle, if I am with her, I'd find a feather (or may be her presence does). And she would say 'Ishani, I told you, the divine angels are with you!' and I don't deny it. I count my blessings 🙏 No more stories. Two of my favourite CAS recipe, on this card. Colored cardstock and light ink stamping. I hope you like it. And also, I'd love if you would stop by, at my You Tube channel :) Joining in at  CASology Addicted to stamps CAS-ual fridays stamps

Breast Cancer Awareness - Encouragement card

Image
Hello everyone, I am here to remind you of our very special challenge this fortnight at  TIME OUT  - our breast cancer awareness challenge: Our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Fridays, who have a wonderful range of breast cancer awareness products. They have offered a $25 gift voucher to a randomly chosen entry that creates a one-layer card with pink :) I didn't choose to twist because I wanted to use these beautiful  4 petal fri-dies  of our lovely sponsors. I die cut them from a pink cardstock, lightly applied some pink ink on the edges, a pearl for the centre and I had these pretty flowers to adorn the card. I chose this lovely sentiment from the  Calm and loving stamp set  . Our Guest Designer is  Sidan  so please stop by her blog and check her gorgeous card. May you never need these cards, but a card for encouragement is always a good one to keep handy. I hope you like my card and will play along.  Joining in at Water cooler challenge
