Just Married Card - CIC 438

Hello dear friends,

This is a reminder post for Cupcake Inspiration Challenges.  We have, A day for daisies, as our sponsor and there is a $12 gift certificate for our randomly chosen winner. So, if you haven't yet played along, there are still 6 days more to go.

One my resolution this year is to make at least two cards from each stamp set I have and luckily I could use the A day for daisies stamp - I do, again. This for sure has become my favorite digi. I used my old favorite painted flowers for the background, white embossed and blended in the picked raspberry distress ink, keeping the same color scheme as the previous one, I  made this card just changed the layout design.

I must admit that I think the coloring on this is a tad better than the previous one (here is the previous card). The black suit in my last card looked a little faded to me. Well, I think I was scared of using a lot of black.. and made it more grey.. than black. So this time, I didn't hesita…

Hello crafty friends, I have been planning to give back the love, you all have given me in the last one year. So thought of hosting a little Giveaway to celebrate one year of my crafting journey on Instagram.

Oh no! Am late. (Belated wishes)

Hello dear crafters,

Am glad you stopped by! I have always loved clean and simple cards, before even knowing what it was called! CASology's cue card makes you think.. doesn't it? And because I didn't have a tortoise or sloth I had to do something out of my limited stash. This stamp is Lucky dog from MFT and it didnt have anything to do with late, but this dog's experessions were so apologetic (:P)! So I did some hand lettered sentiment to match the scene.

I made it look like it came running ... to ask.. Am I late?? Does it look like that? With the whiff... behind..if not the fading dog? I actually don't remember where did I see this kind of a card (It's not an original idea). But what I remember is it was a car card.. and it showed variation by colouring lighter. May be it was a blog hop or on Instagram.. but it made such an impression that I remembered that card, when I was thinking about how can I show 'late'.

I can put any sentiment inside, it could…

Sending lovely hibiscus

Hello dear friends,

Today we Indians are celebrating our 69th Republic Day and one ritual for 26th January for all Indians is to watch the Republic day parade that happens in the National Capital Delhi (Some pictures of the parade). It starts with honouring the brave soldiers who exhibit supreme selfless bravery. It was indeed a moment of pride when the highest military decoration "Ashoka Chakra" was presented to the mother and the widow of Coporal JP Nirala. He was a part of the Garud force - the Commandoes of the Indian Air Force and he had single handedly shot down three terrorists, before laying down his life. You can read more about his valor and courage, here

So after the parade was over and that we also had a holiday, I went through some challenges to make a card. I did some multi challenge mix for this card. I used the Hero Arts Layering Hibiscus stamp.  I did some hand -lettering for 'SENDING' love, to make card more generic, I could write inside.. whatev…

I do - CIC 438

Hello everyone,

Happy Monday to all of you :) What an overwhelming participation at Cupcake Challenges in our first fortnight challenge! Thank you to all who participated. This week we have, (to me the loveliest digital stamps available) A day for daisies, as our sponsor and there is a $12 gift certificate for our randomly chosen winner.

I made a card using our colour scheme with the I do digital stamp from A day for Daisies .  I coloured the image with Tombow dual brush pens and Zig Clean color brush pens. The sentiment is from CrafTangles Mr & Mrs stamp .

Here's the Cupcake for inspiring you to join us in the colour challenge.

I hope you like it and will join us this fortnight with your lovely cards.

Lover's kiss

Hello there,

This is my third card of the day with the same stamp set that I used in my previous two cards, You & Me - Couple Card & With Love card. I think the reason I stretched my stamps is all because of the Twofer Challenge. I haven't participated in it yet, but I hope I do! This cute stamp set is called Love is in the air from Hunkydory stamps, that I bought from .

I made it a One layer card inspired by the Less is More challenge. And frankly I have always been scared of OLC, because there's no room for mistakes in it. You need to stamp right, color right... everything right! But am glad it turned out right 😊 Do you remember your first kiss? Am sure everyone does.. the new love.. new friendship.. new experience! These two cuties remind me of mine :) hope they bring back your memories too 😉

Hope you like it.

You & Me - Couple Card

Hello Again,

Continuing with my crafting day, here's another card with the same (new) stamp set from Hunkydory stamps (the previous one & the next one) I recently brought from I used the Freshly Made Sketches Sketch for this card. The embossing folder is the first ever embossing folder I bought (I think in 2016 , even when I didn't have a die cutting machine. Psst.. don't tell anyone I used to emboss with a rolling pin (yes, you can laugh ;)).

I coloured the cute couple from the stamp set with Zig Clean Brush pens. Die cut the colored image, the heart from a glitter sheet and put it on the polka dot embossed cardstock which was mounted on a raspberry coloured cardstock. The sentiment is from Purely sentiments from Mudra Craft stamps.

Thank you for visiting, hope you like it!

With Love Card

Hello everyone,

Hope the beginning of the year has been a creative one for you. I have been busy studying and yesterday was my last exam. I had ordered a stamp set by Hunkydory from an Indian online store All things craft . You can imagine my itch to make cards, that I made three out of one stamp set in a go.
Please see the subsequent posts to see all three, I will have one card per post.

I used the heart hot air balloon stamp, coloured it with my Zig Clean colour markers. Used the sketch from the Case this sketch and the blue panel is made by cling wrap technique with Gansai tambi water colours, taking inspiration from CAS mix up challenge. Used vellum to create clouds and finally made the front panel by joining the die cut edges of the white cardstock with water coloured panel. This is a new technique for me and my first card with my new stamps, entering for Paru's cardmaking challenges .

Hope you like it :)

Winter blues - CIC 437

Hello everyone!

I have been so busy lately with my exams. I just couldn't take out time to write this post and show you what I created with the fabulous embossing folder from the We R Memory Keepers. Cupcake Inspiration Challenges is now a fortnightly challenge, and this fortnight the theme is 'Winter'.

Inspired by the Winter colours , I blended the blues and dry embossed it. I think the look it gives also resembles the crevices and fissures on the icy glacier.

Hello friends,

Thankyou for dropping by. The truth is that I had a little break during Christmas and the challenges I go to for inspiration were on break too. So, now that they are live, even though I have an exam tomorrow, these challenges on the blogging world were so tempting to not participate in! So I clubbed a few, to participate in the same and also feel good that I made something.

I have always been intimidated by colored CS, but this card has given me some confidence. I would definitely not shy away from using it more.

Hope you like it :)

Unicorn Wishes

Hello friends,

I have always been fascinated by the Unicorns and I had always wanted to buy one. So when I saw this new online store 'Dardarkar Arts' where I stumbled upon Avery Elle's Be a Unicorn set, I thought this was the cutest Unicorn I had seen!

Am Thankful to the lovely childhood when I heard fairy tales and now, I read to my son. These made us imagine and I remember reading about Unicorns. Where, Unicorns grant wishes to the pure of heart. They open doors for those who are truly ready to receive with gratitude, joy, and integrity. When a pure, innocent child makes a wish from the bottom of her heart, a Unicorn will draw close to the little one, to help her. If the wish is for her highest good, the Unicorn will bring it about.

My crafty friend Raga was just mentioning about her daughter's Birthday to me few days back and I thought I could make a card for her with this!

I opted for pink for my rainbow, as I really feel it must be included in the rainbow ! May be the…

Otterly Happy Couple Card - CIC 437

Hope your day is going great! To forget your monday blues, I have a good news for you. Today onwards Cupcake Inspiration Challenges will run for a fortnight and be live every Monday.
For this fortnight we have Lawn Fawn as our generous sponsor and would provide the winner $25 Gift certificate. Isn't that cool?

The theme for the challenge is 'Winter'. And it's really chilly here in New Delhi too! But I love winters, so no complaints. I used Lawn Fawn's Winter Otter for this card. This is a marriage season in India, my best friend just got married too. So with that in mind, I created a little seen with the otters, snowflakes and heart, depicting their honeymoon in Winter.
(With a very busy schedule and classes even on Sunday,  I had to take this picture at the Institute.)

Hope you like it :)

New Year wishes - Lotus

Hello friends,

Wish you all a very Happy New Year, 2018! I wish that this year is better than the previous, for all of you.

I made a Lotus card with watercolours and background by the smooshing technique. It goes to my grandparents to wish them a very Happy New Year.

In Hindu spiritual contemplation, the lotus has a special place. It is not only considered pure and beautiful, but also a symbol of goodwill, peace, prosperity and happiness. It helps get rid of unpleasant things and is referred to as the king of flowers. So, Using this stamp from an Indian Company Ranganjali, was an obvious choice for me. I adore how the sentiment is written with elements from the Devanagri script (in which we write Hindi).

This is a beautiful stamp set which you can check here

Hope you like the card too.. Happy New year once again!
